He used the ST mainly for mail chess, where two players would send their moves via snail mail. My teacher used Psion Chess to improve his play and later upgraded to a PC because there were stronger chess programs for DOS available. If his chess opponents also used computers, it was probably the slowest game between two computers imaginable
Soundman is a simple sheet-based music editor using the ST's sound chip. It was released by Galactic Software, more well known for Digit I and II.
HomePage Pinguin 2.0 was the first commercial release of HPP. It was the publisher's idea to keep the German word for penguin and attach a "pro" the program's name. When I switched to another distributor, I quickly changed the name to HomePage Penguin and dropped the "pro" for the 3.0 version.
By the way, the full version of Neon Grafix 3D was also released on CD a few years after the app was discontinued.
