Very, very popular database in 90's , with most advanced options, special in version 2, really gem for GEM :-)

Yes, yes, please, i was a good boy :-)

Anyway, I'm really impressed - you found Regent base in a speed of light, and I was looking over the 18 months for that...
Looks like knowing right people in right place at right time is a key of success :-)

Ok, give me a couple days to scan it. It's a big manual!

I might as well scan it since I have to return it to the owner when I'm done.

Ah the manuals are text files on one of the disks so I don't need to scan. :D

Here is the archive. I included MSA disk images, PNG images of the floppy disks, and folders with the disk contents.

Since you know a lot about the program, could you organize everything and put up a working archive when you have time? It looks a bit of a mess currently.

Hey np, hope they are what you need.

I talked to the owner of the disks and he found 2 other disks labeled Regent Base 2 Master Programs and Regent Base Icons.

I'm trying to see if he can image them for me or send them. Let me know if you need those 2, but he thinks everything is in the ones he sent.

Yes, this isn't the normal Regent Base. He bought the rights to it directly from Frank Cohen at Regent Software and it wasn't cheap either lol.

He's very generous to let us archive it for the community!

Actually, this is regular Regent Base 2 distribution and very important, some things won't work without utils and installation routine from Master disk.
Will be really nice if he can make images, or send to you:-)

I think I can fixed without this two disks, but, I'll prefer to make installation using original protocol.

Anyway, give him my deep respect and thankfull for generous share, really, really nice move :-)

I talked to the owner and he is a really nice guy. He's going to send the other 2 disks my way.

Big thanks to him!

*Edit* Just to clarify the history of this software a bit. The owner did reiterate this is not entirely a normal release and includes the runtime for making stand-alone applications. He bought the rights from Frank Cohen and still technically owns them.

When I saw the runtime, I was really surprised, I just heard about Regent runtime - now finally I have it :-)

Big thanks to him indeed:-)

An one big

P.S. I was just back from work, deadly tired, but I'm going to see Regent Base archive, folders and try to make little order :D
