Great tool, just an observation if I queue too many files after a while I see Status as error on the PC end.

Any ideas on troubleshooting?

Using Hydra (works fine with Sting + Litchi FTP).

Current HTML UI is being rewritten right now and a new improved version of UIP is on the way. This should be hopefully ready for beta testing in a month or two.

You need any help with the development at all? I'm not time rich but I think UIP Tool is one of the best programs I've used in recent times :)

Thanks for kind words. I plan to add FTP feature after we release next version. This isn't trivial though. I have a volunteer who rewrites UI to be much smaller and free of bloated UI framework which I used in the first iteration. I will definitely need help with beta testing too.

I am sure there will be plenty of beta testers available. Any update to uip-tool will be nice to have.

Great work indeed! May I ask (a possibly stupid) question? Is it possible to combine the uip-tool with CosmosEx? I'm particularly interested in the remote execution functionality.

Interesting update!

Another point: how about WebDAV support? Would it be possible to add support for it so one can simply use $filemanager instad of the web gui on the client (PC)?

@dhelberg: No. You should ask CosmosEX developers for new functionality. Or simply buy NetUSBee now.

@simonsunnyboy: There will be no WebDAV. Depending on time and my motivation I'd like to add FTP support at some point.

Great update. If time permits, I will incorporate your changes into my fork which supports USB2LAN adapters (instead of the NetUSBee). If I manage to do so, would you be interested in merging my changes?

OK, I'll make my port so that depending on the build configuration either the USB2LAN or the RTL8019 version is built. I'll let you know when I'm finished.

Question: Why do you use VASM for the assembler file when the rest is built using gcc? Would it be OK for you if I ported the assembler part to m68k-atari-mint-gas? I like to keep the build dependencies as lean as possible.

czietz: What you propose has no sense and it looks like you have a lot of free time ;-). Doing something for a sake of doing it and an exchange of working / tested code to the same thing, but written in another way. And in the process something might get wrong (no matter how good you are). What are other benefits of switching to gas, beside not copying one binary to your bin folder and not invoking VASM on n x multicore m x gigahertz machines on a tiny codebase? (Beside adding more work for yourself?)
VASM is used, because it has Devpac syntax, which is more readable than gas, it's easier to maintain, we like it and this should be enough argument. I think Sqward will say something similar.
I would prefer to direct an effort for making better tool and not waste time on things like this (switching tools). If gas will have something crucial, which is not in VASM, sure we can consider in the future.

FTP would be sufficent aswell as it could be used for recursive downloading from the Atari, something the current web interface does not handle.

I like that the directories are sorted properly now.

Is it me, or folders and subfolders are not copied from Mac to Atari? It used to be in the old version.

I tried to drop a folder on the dashed area, all the files were copied, but not the folder or any of its subfolders. The result is that the destination directory contains all the files of all the folders, at the root of it.

I'm using Safari 12.1.

Perdrix24: We haven't tested anything under Safari/Mac. Previous version was very big, so it had to be butchered. We don't use any bloatware js libraries anymore. We reworked UI completely, so it's quite likely not everything will be working exactly like previous version. In general, I will look into it. There also few issues we are aware of, like not usable sliders when download/finished/failed list grows too big.

update: I've checked behaviour under mac for three browsers (Safari/Chrome/Firefox) - Firefox works fine, Chrome and Safari behave in same way. I've checked Chrome on PC too and it turned out that it behaves same as on mac. So it is reproductible.

update 2: fixed issue, you can grab new version from download section.

Yes, it fixed the issue :D

I also tried the developer scripts, they work as in the video. To have the console output redirected is a real bonus!

Also, under MagiC, I can run uip tool in a window, before I had to run it single-tasking (full screen).

Knowing it can run on a 1MB ST is amazing.

As a frequent user of the uip-tool in it's first version, I am delighted to see how nicely the new uip-tool is developping. Thanks to sqward and saulot, and of course all beta testers.
