I mean the IDE0 settings for defining a physical hard drive in Windows are not found anywhere.
The wiki example for IDE0 is a setting for linux PC as it uses the Unix convention to denote a device ( i.e. /dev/hdc ) which is the same as the example config file that comes with the download).

Hey gang. I just noticed something, and it seems odd to me. Please look at the
attached picture and notice the filesizes on the TOS formatted SDcard in the
shell, and then look at those same filesizes, just copied, shown in the Kunbuntu
window in the upper left corner...

Are my eyes playing tricks on me? :)

With 1 KiB being 1024 bytes, the file sizes seem identical?
Or am I missing something else? :)

The tears are welling in my eyes again, I need twenty big buckets to catch them in, twenty pretty girls to carry them down, twenty deep holes to bury them in.

I took the file Falcon1 , because that one has a familiar name to it.

On the GUI, it is 499 KB.
On the shell it is 510994 bytes.

510944/1024 = 498.96 KB.
So it rounds it up a bit to 499 KB.

Nothing surprising.... or it is the other files you're talking about?

Just wanted to mention that at least for Ubuntu 11.10, the Atari driver is already built into the kernel.

I can mount the partitions from a satandisk sd card just as normal filesystems. The 256MB BGM partitions auto-mounted but I had to manually mount the 16MB GEM partition.

The GEM partition has 512 byte logical sectors and the BGM ones have 4096 byte logical sectors.

The card was partitioned using hddriver 8.44 with the tos1.0/102 and tos1.04 compatibility settings checked.

Well, that's good to know. Thanks.

I'm still running 10.10 right now - guess I'll have to find some time for an update! :)

It has been annoying me big time since I installed Fedora the first time on my laptop. They have omitted Atari ST partition support in their kernels. :x
