Here are some previous discussion topics on using those ovl files.
Mostly stems from getting internet Connectivity so it's scattered here & there.

The web page at ftp://ftp.datavase.info/st_essential/DE ... ra402b.zip might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web

got this error?

That's because the anonymous access is only available between midnight and 8am UK time. To avoid this, and offer a 24/7 service, recently (just a week ago) I created a new website at https://sites.google.com/site/stessential/ The files are available there too, so at any time of the day anybody can download the files in The List.

What you're looking for is now too at: https://sites.google.com/site/stessenti ... ra402b.zip :D

Hope it helps.

yep that helps,

It was 12:38 am when I posted my message? So wouldn't I have been able to get @ both archives?

In the highwire cache folder. Check the highwire.cfg to see what that is.

0.3.2 is the one I have, which I believe is the latest. Any alternatives? I tried CAB, and it seems to be faster.

Draconis seems to need some sort of a gateway... or something similar to that of gluestick.
The Adamas seems like a great product but I never had it working for me. :(

Well, not really. I tried about 3-4 times and when typing the address of this forum, on Highwire sometimes (not always) takes minutes to fully show me the website loaded. On CAB didn't experience that problem. Not tried enough though. Also, I only tried yesterday, and seems I had some Internet connection problems, as my phone WiFi connection was failing constantly.

As much as Highwire is a really good browser, what I am looking at right now is NetSurf, a browser actively developed, multiplatform, and taken care of by m0n0 for Atari. While it's not faster than Highwire, it can render more complex webpages and it seems that sooner or later it will have Javascript on Atari too.
this is a discussion about Netsurf here at AF
viewtopic.php?f=27&t=17676

I also use the javascript enabled browser (lynks, links, linx, can't ever remember the spelling), also multiplatform, but it's a little, hmmm..., rough
