Backing up a Mister install

its quite a steep learning curve..its been a fight to get this far for me..!

As getting stuff working (ive only got the TurboGrafx working so far...so when i kinda get to a milestone (for me) itd be nice to get a backup....

If i want to take a backup - how do i do that?

Just copy everything from /media/fat/

You can also use Win32 Disk Imager to make an exact image of your whole SDCard.

Brilliant - thanks very much - as i suspected....i think theres definately something to be said for copying scripts....sometimes they work sometimes they dont but using notepad++ helps alot.

Copying scripts (or downloading them) as files always works.
You can encounter problems if you copy and paste or edit the text of a script with Windows, because its end of line standard is Carriage Return + Line Feed, while in Linux it’s just Line Feed and Windows’ Carriage Returns break things. As you said Notepad++ has an option for converting different end of line styles, but if you copy/download scripts files as they are (actually copying the file, not creating a new file and pasting the text), you won’t have any issue.
