pi-top CEED is different case. It's not notebook. Although connections are same to pi-top, i'm not sure how the whole construction will fit inside.

Yes I know but as they are similar products, I took it to be more nomadic than with my 27 '' and I thought the screen was the same and well no.
It does not work with the MiSTer.
I put a RPI in ^^

The screen in CEED is 1366x768.
You can make it work if you define custom HDMI resolution in MiSTer.ini

              0,1366,48,112,248,768,1,3,38,4,1028,3,65536,5,514,9,2,8,7,7,0xA3D709E8

I had a look at the wiki page and there is definitely quite a lot of effort invested into the Pi-top MiSTer project. It's impressive, congrats. BTW. it makes a cool Amiga laptop as well.

Your laptop turned out pretty great. Congrats! I am quiet jealous and am really considering building it.

But cost/benefit is keeping me from it. Maybe once the Pi-Top gets the clearance sale treatment and I can get one for sub 100 € I would consider building one myself.

Anyhow. Thanks for sharing your hard labour and this great design with us! :D

I'm afraid it won't happen. Original store recently finished sales of v1 cases. They sold it about ~$50 less than v2. ~$260 if i remember right. So they already got rid of v1 cases. My link to shop on Wiki is non-functional already.
So, now you can buy v1 cases only from distributors. Once they clear the stock, it will gone forever!
There is a chance to find it cheaper as used one on eBay.

Actually just single bare 1080p panel used in PiTop costs ~$75. So, having total cost as sub-$100 is unrealistic. Especially it's not really mass product. The biggest cost comes from case itself. Plastic cases are very expensive.

Guess your are correct - I spotted some on ebay in good nick for sub 200 € - Sadly mostly in this hideous green colour. I guess I will pass for now.
