My "xs" case printed on my toy 3D printer.

I had to change the push buttons as they were not tall enough to reach the top of the case. If you get the XS case, you may have to do the same. I added a (plastic) spacer the same height of the metal spacers to the I/O board (you can see it right next to the memory board) to prevent the board from sagging down on the end that does not reach the edge screws. I also put a plastic separator on top of the RJ45 jack to keep the bottom of the I/O board from short-circuiting against the metal. The fan will be flush against the top of the case, as there is no clearance left, but the case does close…. Oh and I used the metal spacers that came with the DE-10 board, as they were just about the right height for about 1mm off the top of the button caps to peek through the top of the case.

Since the I/O board does not reach the spacers on the LED/button side of the board, the whle board will sag on that end when you press a button. The extra plastic spacer that I added and the 1mm plastic disk that I added on top of the Ethernet jack will keep the board level.

@deadlocked
It seems your photos are missing
You can add a plastic spacer near the SDRAM board - that's why there is a 3mm hole there.

@Sorgelig

I tried uploading the photos several times from different browsers. I always get "Error parsing server response", so I cannot upload anything.

and yes, the hole right next to the RAM board is where I put the spacer, you would clearly see it in the pictures... if the forum allowed me to upload.

Tried to zip the files and I got "file is too big" error.

you can upload pics on some other picture sharing site and then link to it.
This forum is very restrictive, unfortunately.

I would be interested in see your photos too :)

I guess it depends on the push buttons you use. I modelled the XS close to the v.5.2. And my v5.2 buttons can be pushed without to much force, so it works without spacer for me. But sure - space are a good solution should you have the need to compensate here. :D

Anyways, thanks for your feedback on the XS!
