Some titles do not start pressing Start or Joystick button.
In previous cores they start.

For now:

Bank Heist
Barnstorming

Thanks!

PS: I didn't see last test version

Just put the fixes from the test versions. Also the 3rd character of the extension can turn on SuperChip if it's an 's'. E.g. digdug.f4s will work automatically.

You're welcome! Debugging is very time-consuming, but at the end, it's very rewarding :)

I also want to thank you for all the improvements you've made to the A2600 core. :D

@slingshot: Any idea on why the nasty Mystique games fail on the core? Yes, I am talking about "Beat'em and eat'em" and "Custer's Revenge". I know they are... ehm... a bit "strange", but very interesting for historical reasons, and legit Atari 2600 games after all :D

I have to search for those games...well, there's no censoring in the core :)

They are available on the Atari 2600 on PlanetEmu. They seem to be doing something strange to the video, image is heavily distorted.

I don't see any problem on MiST with them.

Then it must me a MiSTer thing then. I have posted here because I thought it was the right thread, but it seems that there's an Atari 2600 core related thread on the MiSTer forum too.
So, I have tried over VGA on the MiSTer, and those two games show a black screen while my monitors claim that the video mode is not supported. Other games do work fine on the core over VGA and HDMI.

I think both of you are right!

I tested several versions of these games found in the Atari 2600 TOSEC, and Beat'em and eat'em has 2 different resolutions: 640x480@60Hz and 640x500@60Hz. In the latter the number of lines is not standard. Custer's revenge has at least 2 different versions as well, one with standard 640x480@60Hz and another with non-standard 848x480@60Hz. The third game I tried was Fishing derby, as it had graphic glitches on my Philips Hotel TV (this game is present on my Arabian Darth Vader VCS clone), and it seems to be even more confusing: 4 different versions/resolutions/refresh rates, 640x500@60Hz, 640x480@52Hz, 640x480@51Hz and 640x480@50Hz!

Perhaps some TVs/monitors are less tolerant in aspect of non-standard video parameters, and this may cause distorted image in some cases. The good news is that everyone may find a version of these games outputting standard video sigbal that works on his/her picky display.
