Multicomp

Postby rittwage » Fri Jul 27, 2018 12:46 am

I see where there is a github project from many years ago for this, but is there a RBF somewhere and instructions for making the CPM boot file?

Perhaps it had only been planned

As far as I know, the only Multicomp core available is for the MiSTer, not the MiST.

It would be fantastic a Multicomp core on MiST. I am a great fan of CP/M operative system.

The Multicomp has been ported. I followed the links, and while it's not touted as a full port, I would say it's there. The hard work has been done. Code can then by modified for your purpose.

I'm compiled the code and it works fine on the MiST

Correct - here:

https://github.com/wsoltys/multicomp/tr ... rocomputer

You can also compile yourself in Quartus II - it worked for me.

That would be very nice, many end-users of MiST (including me) are not familiar with compiling or using Quartus...

That build only allows for a small basic-only ROM environment. It needs to run the full 64k CP/M 2.2 implementation with disk image support to be useful at all. That will require a good bit of work...

Being able to play around with the code on a simple level makes it useful too.
