You always can click on "Commits" tab and see the changelog.
It's not always clear, but it may give you some hints what has been changed.

What's wrong with TAP version?
Why don't you use TR-DOS version?

Yes, disk version works.

The tap version do not load the game after the menu.
On emulators and DivMMC / ZX-Vega tap version works indeed.

1) Try to press F1 to un-pause the tape (in case if core doesn't recognize the load request).
2) do not use turbo load (fast load is ok) as it hooks only standard tape calls.

Disk versions are always preferred as it has more natural way of loading without tricks. TAP is more suitable for single part games loaded at once.

I've tried myself - it seems the core doesn't recognize the stop condition in this game. If you still want to use TAP for this game, then you can reload the TAP when game wants to load the next part and wait till it play a required part. You also can use F2/F3 to move back/forth.

After using the latest spectrum core I noticed that some games do not work anymore with my Joystick (competion pro). Then I found out that I now have sometimes to put the joystic in the other DB9 port, what wasn´t the case in older cores. Anone has the same ?
Is there an option to swap them like in the C64 core ?

The USB gamepad acts as an Interface II Sinclair joystick.

Have you tried to press "Home" key various times ?

I use a Joystick directly in the DB9 port of the MIST. Usually this worked as the kempston joystick; it still does on many games but not on all for example on "Action force II" where you have to put the stick in the other port. This was not the case on older cores.

What's the correct method to load .z80 files? I see some documentation says the core supports them but don't see it in the menu's supported extensions. Do I have to do something with the loader that shows from hitting F11?

Z80 files aren't supported, you have to download others format.

For Hyperspin, I have 384 title collection in T80, and I have a large 4828 'Best Of' made from the majority in Z80 and TZX and some in DSK, TAP, and ROM. How big of a Speccy collection do users of this core work with? Are they mostly .TAP files using the core's fastload? Seems that is a good way to go. Any advantage/disadvantage of format selection for the ZX?

TAP files usually has the cracked version of the original, so turbo loading can be used with them.
I have about 5000 TAP files, 721 +3 DSK files, and some TRDs (but you can find almost all released software in TRD format).
