Atari800: problem with some ATR Games

Postby Everett1954 » Thu May 10, 2018 5:58 pm

Now that I have my new MIST, I am having problems playing some Atari 800 games that I did before on my old MIST.

All the games are in ATR format and include Stealth and Moon Patrol.

I hear them load but end up with a scrabbled screen when done.

I am running the latest firmware and tried a couple versions of the RBF with the same results.

i have tried the load with and without Basic, same results. Any Ideas?

If you have these two games working on your MIST, let me know what core you are using. Some ATRs like Necromancer and Rainbow Walker work fine.

Any help is appreciated

Moon Patrol here works, Core NTSC VGA 20160305,
I've never had compatibility problems with games.
I think this core is almost perfect (99%) !

Which OS Rom do you use? I encountered some games that I knew to work on a real XL without any problem, but failed to load with the XL Rom, nonetheless they worked fine, once I used the OS B Rom.

So I used the latest core, mentioned above and replaced some corrupt files (don't know how that happened) and iIam good again. Yes the XEX files work great as do the ATR.

Tried converting some carts to .CAR but have had no luck with that format, they don't show up.

Luckily, everything is available as a XEX or ATR.

Thanks for the help.
