You have to buy it, because it's a correct thing.

I advice you that some games don't want jiffydos, but most load faster.
It's an option.

I didn't want anybody encourage for piracy, so deleted the link. I found that after a short googling and wanted to help to a forum mate. That's all, peace!

How do you create C16.ROM?
Just a computer and videogame lover :)

- Atari Jr 2600 clone
- Atari 7800 Peritel
- Atari XEGS

You have to use the command line to merge the C16 Basic Rom, the Jiffy C16 Kernal Rom and the Jiffy 1541 Dos Rom with the copy/b command:

copy/b name1+name2+name3 c16.rom

name1=the name of the C-16 Basic Rom
name2=the name the Jiffy Dos Kernal Rom
name3=the name of the Jiffy Dos Floppy Rom

On linux would be: cat name1 name2 name3 > c16.rom

A few days ago i implemented a way to specify roms in the mist.ini. This will alow to specify several individual roms like floppy, kernal and basic.

Still have to release a firmware binary for that. And i totally forgot what a mess this sd csrd stuff in the firmware is.

I saw that, I thought it's mainly for Arcade cores, where a tons of rom files required. Any example how it works?

Now that we have wonderfull .TAP support for C64 and Vic20 cores, has possible insert it into C16 / Plus4 core please? Like already present in Mister

Thank you

Here it is:
https://github.com/mist-devel/mist-bina ... 190502.rbf

TAP + SID extension support. Unfortunately the core already used all of the BRAM in the FPGA, and the filters for the 6581 model couldn't be enabled. I would prefer using the 8580.

New Core doesn't sync image in progressive mode (720 x 576 50p) with component cable.
Only 50i works.

Previous core works in both modes (50p and 50i).

I can confirm this, my picky LCD TV does not sync to current (20190502) core neither in progressive nor in interlaced mode via component cable. Previos (20180909 PAL) release works well. My BenQ shows the same standard video parameters (720x576@50Hz & 576i@50Hz) in both cores, both YUV modes.

The same C64 shortcuts would also be useful:

Special keys:

CTRL+F11 - Reset
Page Up - Start/Stop tape

Also sound volume is very low.

I saw that newest C16 core has roms on sd card's root mandatory, this means that now there is more free space into FPGA core or in FPGA ram, and that in this way maybe i may find and load exact plus 4 roms (with 4 builtin programs too) and with Jiffydos i think...

About this new way of (externally from RBF file) have ROMS on sd's root mandatory, will be same for C64 & Vic 20 in future?

Until the extra BRAM is needed for something, I won't change C64 and VIC20. On the Plus/4 it allowed to turn on extfilters for 6581 and also allowed to have function ROMs (not so useful, but why not then?)

Volume sound is very low compared to core 190214.

This new core has a DAC, it's needed after mixing TED and SID sounds. I found SID and TED volumes are close, so I don't see the problem. Yes, it was louder.
