All three cores (Defender, Phoenix and Xevious) work fine with HDMI and VGA (Mister_20171016).

Maybe it would make sense to have some folder structure available now. My menu cores start getting a crowded OSD with all the cores :-P

Thank you for these great cores!!

HPS side is reloading by itself when you upload the SOF file through USB blaster, so you don't need to worry about it.

Yes it's what I've asked. Thanks for the reply.

Fine. You do it so fast. I'm going to look at it.

I've ported Xevious, Phoenix and Defender cores.
I'm working on Bagman and probably will do Crazy Kong and Galaga.
Also i will add screen rotation - thanks to big BRAM memory in FPGA.

Guys with MiSTer, please move to this thread: viewtopic.php?f=117&t=32481

P.S.: Porting of Dar's arcade cores are pretty straight forward unlike ones from pace where a lot of garbage code exist and i need to spend a lot of time to find required interfaces.

It's way more complex and required much more memory than 8bits arcade game. I intend to continue with a couple of simple game before starting such a big job.

The R-Type on pc-engine is quite the same as the arcade version.

Is source code of that project available? I couldn't find it on that site.

As for V30 CPU: there is next186 core which should be very close to V30.

That's good news. Will you also be porting these cores to the old MiST?

The link is incorrect. It's link to own profile where everyone will see only his own files.

So BAD news :( . MiST is being killed by some people here... and I don't know why. Please, for Mister things... Mister forum. Instead, in ZX-Uno, cores and ports are being done, and comparing with MIST, this board is underpowered, although they use SRAM.

As you mentioned, ZX-Uno uses SRAM which gives some specific features not available on MiST. As for arcade cores - in most cases they need a lot of memory, and since many arcade cores have several CPUs, the memory should be fast. Faster than SDRAM on MiST can provide. MiSTer has 8x more BRAM which allows to add features like screen rotation and HDMI to output to any modern TV.

Before accusing other people in killing the board, i suggest to look at your self. What YOU have done to make MiST alive?
And by the way, i have no relation to MiST manufacturing/selling, so i'm not condemned to support the MiST.

@darfpga,
I noticed in both MiST and MiSTer port of Galaga there's a problem when using two ships.
When using two ships, only one of the ship's weapons fire.
It can also be seen in attract mode.

This Poll is clear.

I think MiST is a good card, but like all fpga projects it has its limits.
Those looking for perfection do better to address emulation.

I looked at the ZX-One project, but i think this one is more appropriate for speccy fans.
Anyway I'm happy with my MiST and I'll continue to use it as I did until yesterday playing with ZX, CPC and Amiga cores. :)

Just for finishing: I didn't force, for example, a developer to release his source code and to give up / resign just for use this code for a personal board and personal project. It's not a matter about technical evolution is a matter of egolatry.

I saw all the discussions in Facebook against the C=64 core updater. And that's my last word on this issue.

Just, please, leave this forum for MiST topics.

Regards.

I don't see how porting things to MiSTer affects the MiST in any way. The only things that can't be ported back would be features not doable on MiST anyway?

I suggest you not judge the things you don't understand. Egoist is the one who grabs the work of others for personal glory. I release all sources and have nothing to hide unlike your new favorite. Calling me as egoist is pretty lame. If you don't know what is open source license, then read it first before blame.
I suggest you to leave the forum. With your attitude to developers MiST community won't have any.

I was thinking to keep improving my MiST cores. Fix the bugs, backport some features which are still compatible with MiST. But after such bashing i don't want anymore. Congrats! So, you've succeeded.

Please, I support ALL your great work. Even this thread was opened by me. But I don't support some personal attitudes and misbehaviours. If somebody stops working on MiST because some non technical issues, is not my fault. Don't blame me about it. I'm just sad because the community division with a high consumption SoC+FPGA Board + Custom board personal project with no availability and elitist base VS an easily findable and and available board with a great community base + the bad behaviour against C64 maintainer and other developers or open source real FPGA projects.

Sorry if my words have been harsh. It's just my personal opinion. If you don't like it, just ignore me.

PS: Now I"m back on topic. I enjoy a lot the arcade cores :)

Same here.

I have and enjoy both boards, and I don't see how the existence of one may harm the other: the source code is available, the boards are well documented, and anybody can choose to work on both platforms.

All the above has been made possible by Sorgelig and his attitude towards open source development, and the community: we just have to thank him for all his work.
