DMA to SCSI-II (Steinberg): manual and floppy.

Postby Atarieterno » Tue Jun 19, 2018 11:37 am

Hello friends;
I have achieved to DMA to SCSI-II to use my Yamaha CBX-D5 and CBX-D3 systems with the ST series of Atari.

Set.jpg

The set is in its original box and on the side details its content:

Original box - 02.jpg

Interestingly I have seen an image of the network in which a diskette appears:

I do not have the floppy disk and neither the manual, please: someone has them and can share them? If the manual is extensive, you can take it to a copy center to scan it and I will pay its cost.
We must preserve the Atari culture.
Greetings.

Hi again, I also have acquired a DMA to SCSI-II. Again I don't have the manual or disk, however the driver software should be in your Cubase Audio v1.1 zip you posted, it's in the SCSI_DRV folder named SHDI. I believe that's what the disk you are referring contained, along with D3 and D5 mixer maps. Can't find anywhere where the above disk has been uploaded to verify, but I know the driver software is a part of Cubase Audio.

Thanks for your kindness, mate.
It is good to know that the contents of the diskette already have it in Cubase Audio CBX, it is logical and probable what you say.
The worrying thing is that the manual that is announced in the original box does not appear, I know three users of the device (you, CJ and me) and none of us have the manual, it may not be necessary for to use the device but it is sad to miss a part of this set, we want to preserve everything possible.
We will keep trying.
Best regards.

José Antonio.

I also own a DMA to SCSI-II from Steinberg, but don't have the manual.

But on ebay I recently saw a DMA to SCSI-II for sale in Switzerland and contacted the seller, who was kind enough to scan his manual before sending it off to the winning buyer.

It's the German version though.

Here it is:

Thank you very much, dbsys!
In two days they have achieved several manuals that were almost lost, thanks to the collaboration of these colleagues. These things make me feel proud of the Atari community, there is still the collaboration and that young spirit that we enjoyed in the 80's and 90's.
A manual in German is fine, a good translator session and everything solved.
Thanks for sharing and preserving.
Best regards.
