Is there a Pi version ce_conf?

Postby Kirkman » Mon Nov 10, 2014 6:18 pm

I was trying to diagnose some issues the other day, and I wondered if they might be related to the CE translated drives. So I turned off the ACSI id for the translated drives, thus disconnecting my CE from my Atari.

Obviously now I cannot get back to my O drive to launch ce_conf to undo the change that I made.

I can SSH into the Pi, and I see the settings files in /ce/settings/, but they don't look like text files I can edit.

Is there a Linux version of ce_conf that I could use to fix what I screwed up, without having to completely reset the CE back to factory settings?

I have a floppy drive, but did not think to copy those utilities onto a floppy.

This sounds like a good idea, and it's also simple to do, so I might add this one later...

OK, now there is a /ce/ce_conf.sh which when runned on Raspberry Pi (e.g.through ssh) will show the config console, but you need to update and run the new CosmosEx app first (when you can't access it from ST, you can update it from Raspberry Pi by running /ce/ce_update.sh script ).

If you don't have that update script on your RPi, you can do the following:

Code: Select all

cd /ce
wget http://joo.kie.sk/cosmosex/scripts.zip
unzip scripts.zip
chmod 755 *.sh

The update which contains this feature:

Jookie, thanks for the update!

Now my CE is up and running again.

In fact, I finally used the screencast function to capture some video of the Atari ST BBS game "Thieves Guild" in action. Check it out, here:
