I tried uploading the whole thing, took ages then gave me a 'video longer than 10 minutes' error - it's not just you :D

split it into three, works a treat :)

is the list jut for 'pure' atari parties ?

if not, you're missing 'sundown 2008' which a few atari people attended and release (some very old) stuff.

Was going to say that you missed off Evoke 2007 .. especially when you were doing a DJ set there (but I slept through that!) :)

Oh and new audio cassette turned up today inside Berlin 1948 :)

I've got a single tape recorder for use with the Spectrum +3 that is sat gathering dust on a shelf - it would probably be better off being done properly. Will ask mate who's setting up that retro computer music studio if he can encode it.

I'd get them to remove the link to the URL for Ripped Off as that's now a squatter site :(

cheers :) I got distracted by a loud noise or something when I created the upload and added torment as a 'maker' by accident, reported it in the 'fix me' thread and it's been done, so thanks if it was you :)

Blimey! Not even the slightest hint of Bill Oddie in those days!

Only just downloaded and watched this for the first time. I'm from Bradford but did not know about this event at the time. Out of curiosity, does anyone know exactly where in Bradford this took place?

Most of the guys looked pretty young back then, I am guessing most were mid to late teens? I was a mere 21 at the time and heavily into using my STe with Cubase, mostly making various forms of rock, metal, prog and aor etc.

Was a set of offices above a sewing mill (vague memories though - I just followed the directions on the map as to which bus to get and where to get off!).

Two dates for you:

18.11. - 19.11.1988 - Valtakunnalliset Atari-päivät, ST-Klubi, Finland
17.11. - 18.11.1989 - Ataria-89, ST-Klubi, Finland

Both events were organized by finnish computer club for ST users and it operated in cooperation with finnish Atari importers at the time.

Lots of early Swedish stuff to add. I have some of it written down already:

Rocco's copy party in Gothenburg, 89-05-11 (one of several days)
- trivia: This is the party where the Whattaheck demo was released. Sort of. It was actually really released two weeks after.

Carebears' convention in Stockholm, 89-08-04 (first day of convention, I think)
- trivia: This is the party where the SoWatt demo was released

I should be able to dig up the dates and names of the parties where Swedish New Year demo 1 and 2 where released. Oh and the SYNC-convention where the Omega Demo was released. That should be December 1988 IIRC ...

edit: SNYD2 was released at the NoCrew party "Nyårskonvent v90.1" - already in the list.

Recently found out about the "42-Crew Convention" in december in a scroller by Delta Force... but which year? could be 87 or 88 or even 89 I think... Any clues?
