Overscan demo list

Having just moved, I have been pulling out and evaluating/repairing all the ST's I have had in storage. I have an NEC LCD hooked up via scart and the pic is pretty damned good. What is a lot more noticeable are the boarders. I was wondering if anyone has a list of demos (or games, for that matter) that use software overscan tricks?

I was also pondering, has anyone ever written any software to take advantage of hardware overscan or lacescan? I game or demo written specifically to work with it is an idea I hadn't considered before. I have one ST with Lacescan installed, I will have to fire it up again.

Try any of the recent demos by DHS (dhs.nu), or as a great classic: Ventura Demo by Overlanders (comes on two disks)

They support hardware overscan? I don't think so. Software yes. Hardware no.

Either is good, cheers.

I should say, preferably on floppy too. I don't have an HDD running or any way to transfer data bigger than a the usual 800k.

Alexh: I referred to the first paragraph about software overscan.

On hardware overscan applications maybe this review provides some ideas.

My most favourites with overscan are some screens in Sowatt and the Union demo (there you have to fly far to the right and find the correct door)

Fly? Correct door? Are you thinking of Dark side of the Spoon by ULM perhaps?

(Union demo = walking, SoWatt = vertical list menu)

pretty sure I have those knocking about in my drawer of demos, thanks, I'll pull them out. It'd be cool if pouet etc had notes if they included overscan.

Considering how easy lacescan is to install, I'm surprised there is nothing to exploit it.
