I believe I saw his webpage a few years ago. It gave me an impression that he works on California for some IT-company. Remember seeing Corvette and such on the fotos so he probably makes a decent living ;)

This Page says he is a Network Consultant with Net Insight in Sweden but that page was last updated in 2002. The webmaster has an email address for him also (which may me out of date).

Or maybe An Cool is listed here under his real name: Anders Nilsson

Another lead may be here. Underneath the article in the comments someone says this Anders Nilsson is An Cool. However it seems to be a fairly common name in Sweden so it may not be.

Ah.. Just found this article similar to the one above (posted may 2008) saying that it definitely is An Cool.

Umm, they need 'upping' a tone or two. IIRC ST protracker v2 could load TCB tracker mods, but the pitch was all shot, so you needed to '+' each track in each pattern then save it as a .MOD.. Only TCB's tracker allowed for longer sample than PT2 allowed at the time, leaving some samples cut short. Oh and the TCB tracker had a varient of the '9XX' command from protracker before the ST version of it did (if that makes sense).

I've done it before and it's a laborious process, However to hear the mods as they were intended, you'll need to go through each pattern and channel and bump it up a tone or two (and it's been over 15 years so I cant' remember the exact setting. Sorry!).

If it helps, the 'pong' song has a sample that is too long for protracker and also has a couple of notes that go beyond protrackers' range. I did convert 'the replicants' tune at some point, though... I'm sure it's on a mod disk somewhere...

On the plus side (but also sadly so), the only decent TCB tracker tunes were actually by The Carebears (so there aren't too many to find and convert). A shame as it was a tracker with potential.

I last contacted him in 2006. If you have no luck finding him, PM me and I'll see if I can get his details from the Thalion team members.

See page 1 of this thread. I mentioned that he works for Polarbit making Iphone games (as of may 2008). Anyone could probably contact him via his company website.

Well I am looking for Tanis with no joy, but I can help you with the whereabouts of AN Cool.

Anders appears to have left netinsight and isnot at games company polarbit. Not sure if its his company or what, he wrote the game Raging Thunder and possibly others.

And there is an interview with AN Cool about the game here, its recent, 2008

http://www.tuaw.com/2008/05/29/iphones- ... interview/

and the games company is www.polarbit.com

The dudes done good!

Heres is the ther sick thing! These days I am a c# programmer. I always been looking for a good way to see what memory is being used etc, always been diaapointed at whats around.

Then I eventually find one thats great. And guess who its by? Oh Yeah, JAS from TCB!!!!

They impressed me 20 years ago, they impress me today!

And what an awesome emulator that was!.. I didn't think it was the same anders, as neorage didn't have an intro-screen playing, each time you loaded it up ( ;) ).

Or an animated "Please Wait" - although that would have been very funky :)
My main site: http://www.mug-uk.co.uk - slowly digging up the bits from my past (and re-working a few): Atari ST, Sega 8-bit (game hacks) and NDS (Music ripping guide).

I develop a free Word (for Windows) add-in that's available for Word 2007 upwards. It's a fix-it toolbox that will allow power Word users to fix document errors. You can find it at: http://www.mikestoolbox.co.uk
