Wanted: my own demos 91-94

Postby Game Over » Tue Feb 26, 2008 10:27 pm

Hi there,

(by the way, Hallo Lotekstyle, wir hatten uns ja mal getroffen vor wenigen Jahren, wie gehts so?)

I found this site by random and I was wondering if there are still copys around of our own last demos from about 1993 or 94.
Our group was the "NATO" (New Ambitious Teenage Organization) and we had released the following demos;

FAT Demo (100kb scrolltext)
Sound Demo 1 ("New Year demo 1992", see above)
Sound Demo 2 ("Charon Ego Show", see above)
Sound Demo 3 ("Paxi & Fixi", see above)
Sound Demo 4 (forgot the actual name)
Helloween Demo Disk 1 (a very improved sounddemo with serveral tracker-tunes again)
Helloween Demo Disk 2 (see above)
A demoscreen for the monochrome mega demo of the Swiss groups (I don't know if it ever has been released)

There have also been several demoscreens which had been supposed to be released in mega demos by Animal Mine, The Untouchables, New Trend and our own mega demo, but got never released because none of these megademos finally came true.

It was at a coding convention in 1993 or 94 (maybe Fried Bits or the DCC) when I missed several disks afterwards. So today, I don't even have all of my own demos, though they had been released.

As I'd like to renew my own website again, I would like to upload my old demos there.
If anybody still has copies of the above mentioned demos, please contact me!

Alex ("Charon of the NATO / later Game Over")

Thanks a lot!
Very nice to see that our stuff appears on some www-site which I didn't know so far :D

And indeed, the Helloween Demo Disks are missing here, too. That's very sad, but I think I managed only to give about 3 or 4 people a copy of those demos before the disks got lost. (Most certainly Mat of UNT got one)
Among these, there has also been a disk which featured my very first demoscreen using a sync-scroller (and it had a very strange bug: the ST crashed about every second time, you started the demo...so it was like a naturally random-generator...I never found the reason for that bug...).

By the way, I'm still making music and in the next 1-2 months there will be 3 new CDs of mine; one will be named "Blip Blop" and features music "how soundchip-music would sound today".
Here's a little demo for you: http://www.gute-musik.org/musik/Alexander%20Feige%20-%20Fruehling.mp3
Hope you like it :)

Bye, Alex

Hey Alex,

freut mich das Du auch hierher gefunden hast :) Ich dachte Du kennst das Forum schon lange :)

Well all the others have already posted some sources where you may find all your old stuff. I guess all stuff you find
on pouet.net is coming from my NO FRAGMENTS archive:

http://no-fragments.atari.org/browser/i ... %2FNATO%2F

Your musics can be found on Fading Twilight (which we talked about several years ago when we met):

http://fading-twilight.atari.org/browse ... FCHARON%2F

http://fading-twilight.atari.org/browse ... FCHARON%2F

http://fading-twilight.atari.org/browse ... Fcharon%2F

A DVD edition is planned too here.

Don't stop doing some "gute Musik!" :)

@Lotekstyle:

@all:
Thanks for your answers :) I'm going to write again as soon as the CDs are finished.

Alex
