Hello from Nucleus/NAOS

Postby sebdel » Mon Jan 14, 2008 3:03 pm

Hi,

Great forum, it's really exciting to hear from all the old Atari demo makers.

I am/was Nucleus from NAOS. I attended Transbeauce 2 and ICC2. I released 2 screens 20 years ago and they were pretty much crap, but I felt I was part of a great community.

I'd love to hear from other NAOS guys so if you happen to read this message, leave a little word here or through PM.

Thanx
Seb

Welcome on this board mister Nucleus !

We need to recover the mistery from the great source to code a mega compilation on floppy by NAOS on ST MAG
If you have the time to explain some trickies, don't hesitate !

It 's funny you mention ST MAG, I sent countless GFA programs to them (anybody remember the GFA punchs ?)

No problem, I didn't remember that myself

I don't think I know any more than what was already posted. Besides, in NAOS, the genius was Aragorn 8)

Hi and welcome onboard. Ahh naos, so cool demos from you. By the way, whatever happened to your screen for "Froggies over the fence" ? Any chance of getting previews or graphics from it one day ?

I don't know exactly, could have been a problem with making the 4bit hardscroller work on all STs or a memory problem. I know that the graphics where quite ambitious and I wonder how all that was suppose to fit in memory.
I lost contact with the others shortly after when I moved to continue my studies, so unfortunately I don't have any unreleased stuff to share. So unless Aragorn or ATM find their way to this forum, there's little chance to see this screen.

Ah too bad. Anyway, it sounded very interesting. Could you describe us what it was all about ?
