Yup, that's me. :D Thanks for your warm welcome, mate! I've actually followed this forum for some time, but never signed up for whatever reason.
I'll try to show up every once in a while, from now on.

Cheers,

Yeah! anther one of the "old guys" dropping by. I always liked your tunes too and I was amazed by the way your drum sound sounded like samples yet you nevery used them.

That's actually not completely true. I had a digidrum player and I also used it once or twice (I think that was in Punish your Machine: Main menu & Best part of the creation, IIRC). But, indeed, I spent a long time optimizing my drum sounds (for sufficient "punch") and then figured, why use the additional resources, if the drums sound good enough, already. Kind of makes you a good friend with the coders who need all those cycles. :)
I tried to build my drum sound after some famous C64 sounds and realized that I needed a very flexible kind of "noise arpeggio" for that. That's what you can see in the screen shots of Triplex right next to the regular melodic arpeggio selector.

Thanks for your nice words about my old tunes. I still listen to them every once in a while. I would love to go back and continue composing again, but these days I'm so busy that I only play around with an emulator sometimes late in the evening. Not enough time to tackle a whole song project. :(

BTW, thanks to all you guys, for keeping the demo-scene spirit alive. Those were the days, weren't they? For me at least.

Yup. That was Flix' work. I guess he was fed up with the boring look of FCopy when he decided to make that.

Hey Stefan,

Thanks for the warm welcome.

lotek_style wrote:Welcome B.A :) ... a few years ago you seem not to be interested in atari-scene anymore :) Glad that you changed your mind :P

I can see how I must have given that impression. It's not true, though. I've always quietly followed the scene (sneaky, eh?), but I just didn't have the time to be actively involved any more. I've been planning to add some nostalgia section to my website, but just put it off, since there's already so much material out there. Pretty much all my Atari related material is on the web (even some of the unfinished stuff!), so I didn't feel compelled to add anything. I may still do it at some point in time, but nothing's planned, yet.

Anyway, it's great to see what you guys put out, and thanks for the tremendous job of archiving all the musax (Fading Twilight)! Greatly appreciated! :)

Best wishes,
Gunnar

Hey B.A. :)

tbh, yes it seemed like you are not interested anymore :) ... but the more we are happy that this was wrong :) Maybe we can motivate you again to do some chiptune :P ... or better... come to outline party next year :)

Hi everyone !

For me IKI was a coder from TSB (The Storm Brothers) : René-Gilles Deberdt. He did an excellent AntiVirus Tool : The Exorcist.

His mail is listed in this topic :
Atari scene email list update

For your information I have a new acronym to add :

TFH which stands for The FireHawks
Only one demo was released for the Atari :( plus some screen for the snork demo, phaleon and megafun...
