Welcome Robert!

I think this is what the Atari ST made so popular and distinct from the Amiga.

Re: Pacmania

Alternatively we can try to disassemble the X68000 version. This is how the X68k version looks like - and yes, it looks like the original arcade version: http://www.atomic-skulls.de/temp/pacmania_x68k_x2.png So if we have to convert any other graphics to 16 colors we should use the original data. Ok...

Assembler sources with extension ".IS"

Hello guys,

does anyone know the extension ".IS"? I've found some sources with this extension but I don't remember the name of the application which reads/writes this format. It seems that the data has been compressed in some way so converting it is quite complicated.

TIA

New MSA Tool

Hello guys,

I have written a small (command line) MSA-Tool to extract/view/convert MSA files.

If you want to compile it for yourself please visit the BitBucket MsaTool website.

Re: Cross compiling on the PC for M680x0 and DSP56001

@ DML: thanks. I have tried some of the possible DSP assembler alternatives but they were not as good as expected. I am not sure what the real reasons were to omit them but one was the fact that my sources were already written for the original Motorola assembler which is indeed available for differe...

Cross compiling on the PC for M680x0 and DSP56001

Hello guys, as mentioned in another thread here is a short documentation about cross compiling M680x0 and DSP56001 on the PC. It's not quite perfect but I think it's a good start to have a developent tool for the two processors of the Atari Falcon. Introduction Cross compiling for the M680x0 is well...

Sources: 3D part of the E605 demo

So if anyone is interested in old demo code :coffe: you'll find the complete source of the 3D part of the E605 (STE) demo he...

Re: In search of "Argon Backup".

I think I need to clean up the code first as it refers to some hard coded directory names. Also I will translate the TurboAss source to the "gas" syntax so that the PC cross compiler will be able to compile the stuff (this is rather easy).

TL;DR: yes. ;)

Re: In search of "Argon Backup".

Well, that was a "direct hit"!

Many thanks for this because I was able to recover the source files from 1992. :)

For example the sources for the E605 (STE) Demo were showing up. :D

In search of "Argon Backup".

Hello guys,

I need a HD backup program named "Argon Backup". I recently found disks where it seems that a backup was made with this program but I cannot find it anymore. :(
