I think it's possible on a Linux distribution...

Re: Preparing to sell my Atari Falcon 030

Not at my PC at the moment, so can't try this to confirm. But I think you can have a mounted hard drive image and GEMDOS drive mounted to a folder on your Mac at the same time. So this would essentially give you a C: and D: drive. Copying to D: would basically put them in a folder on your Mac... I c...

Re: Preparing to sell my Atari Falcon 030

This will do the trick on a Windows machine:- http://hddguru.com/software/HDD-Raw-Copy-Tool/ On Linux using the dd command, you'll need to find out what the device is called under dev/ before proceeding. But it's fairly simple:- dd if=/dev/sda of=/home/frank/falcon.img bs=512 So that command would r...

Re: 8-way scrolling system for prototyping games on STE

Ha! You've noticed I've been picking the easy ones ;) I don't remember the gameplay too well - its been a long time, but I didn't play very far through on my old Amiga. It does make for good rapid prototype material though. The tilemap is super optimal (I had a double-take on the tile reuse ratio f...

Re: Cho Ren Sha 68k for the Atari Falcon030

I didn't really try to convice them seriously to do a port but the reaction on their side is alway silence. I even made some tests to see what's possible on the Amiga. In fact, there's a starting source code for the Amiga in the repository but alas... the nature and the advantages of the tile based...

Old thread but discussions in 2015:- http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=9399 Conversion Capers: Rygar:- http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=70634 It's not all dri...

Re: Cho Ren Sha 68k for the Atari Falcon030

So who dares to do a port for the Amiga 1200? The Amiga community is quite silent on this matter.  I've seen some of your posts about this on the EAB forums Anima, great stuff. There are a LOT of deluded Amiga users, especially in regard to the 1200...talk of being superior to SNES a...

Re: 8-way scrolling system for prototyping games on STE

Have added some new sample game-mockups to the source repo. I can get one sample done in an evening more or less. This look familiar? ste.jpg The engine code is close to an alpha now - I should be able to publish an early version soon. Mostly just fixing unfriendly things and adding new samples mea...

Re: Falcon Frontier

I recall someone at dhs.nu (I think it was PEP) released a modified version of the game with a fixed color palette (amongst other enhancements) years ago but that version was later removed for some reason... It was eventually lost, because back in those days only a single person was interested in t...

Re: 8-way scrolling system for prototyping games on STE

I tried the original version in Hatari and it 'looks' like it crashes but if I hit a key to continue it actually goes into demo.

It looks like the background returns to the standard desktop green but the lines where any text existed turn into black lines.

Nope, nothing ever came out. Remember seeing a screenshot of Falcon version (probably AGA also) of the Aquatic table in STF many years ago.

Wonder if any of the UD guys still have any of the code and GFX for the Falcon version...

Interesting Anima! I'm guessing a Japanese shooter of some sort? Falcon?

Quite a few flat panel VGA screens can do this, might be a bit much turning a TV or CRT monitor on its side though :)
