It's being worked on. There's a skeleton copy of it but without any of the archive material but you're best off popping into the 'Spectrum 4 Ever' group on Facebook as that's where the updates are posted.

Short of disassembling the play routines, I can't see how you can tell one musician's output against another where no-one seems to know for sure.

Re: OutRun, positively surprised

For the coders/game remakers on the forum, Outrun's main .PRG has all the disassembly labels left in. Would be nice to see what could have been done with Outrun instead of the mess we ended up with.

Chin .. floor.. hit! You have my utmost respect Shredder. Best of luck with looking after your mum and enough cash to buy deodorant for the dodgy 'carers'.

Just keep on popping by when time allows and maybe keep us up-to-date when you can.

John Leather?

Assuming this is the same guy I met at a retro event in Sheffield and helped to rescue some source code disks for?

Nice one. Was always interested in this company's work as a nipper as I was doing the same thing at the time.

I was told, byte by byte, how the Elite save worked over a phone call with Wally Beben :-)

Zippy / Medway boys mentioned that he was hired to hack (or repackage his original hacks) for a budget distributor in the early 90s. This could be one of his.

I'm sure I had some source code examples by him which showed his handiwork, but I can only find his ZIPLoad source code at the moment :(

Nice one.

Add link options so that anyone looking at a game could then jump to download it on a menu (via STonish) or a full disk (PASTI or otherwise on Atarimania)?

Nice one. Is it worth me redoing the ones that failed in the past with previous versions of AuFit? Or should I redo the Kryoflux images first and then use the new Aufit when it's available?

Re: Missing floppyshop files and indexes

Here's Steve's reply: Hi Mike, there's nothing missing, but I had to think about this one! It has been 16 years! What happened was that we doubled up most disks to HD, though we also kept the SD equivalent. When I made up the CD collections there was no point in listing all the SD numbers so I used ...

I'm still in contact with Steve Delaney (who used to run Floppyshop), so I can ask him to take a look at this thread and see what he can remember from those old days.

For Demozoo history, Russ Payne working for the company that ported quite a few flight simulations to the Atari ST. From the same old h/drive that had the source code for Super Cars and Super Scramble Simulator, I found a few of Russ Payne's work inside the port of Flight Of The Intruder - http://ww...

Got fed up with it being hacked. So I don't bother with one any more, just keep the domain for email purposes. Original post was 9 years ago :-)

Re: STEEM SSE v3.6.4 - doesn't like my "hard drives"

I had a mess around with the settings and it would keep giving me 3 bombs once the memory test had completed (or I skipped past it). Until, that is, I either switched off the option to "boot to C: if drive A: is empty" or was it because I also switched PASTI back on .. anyway, SSE 3.64 now...

I've just looked at my ST originals that aren't packed away and it's not in those two boxes. I can only guess, if I have this particular title, it's packed away still since the house move. I need more shelves to unpack stuff onto before I will be able to find it :-(
