You will also need romspeed in front of it within your auto folder so it can patch TOS.
Romspeed is on Uwe Seimets page.

Hmmm - I had problems on some servers without specifying the port although 21 should be default.

Did you use e-nick to setup MiNTnet?
Plus did you use the proper interface name (ne0, en0, ...) that your driver displays?

Don't like beer btw.
But I like meeting Atari users.

MiNT is more powerful than MagiC, but it tends to need more ram, especially if you do a big install. The EasyMiNT webpage is a nice place to start with. I can recommend installing the standard, basic and net (if using ethernet) tar archives and setup XaAES plus Teradesk. This is fine for the beginni...

Yes, there is a way. But it's all from memory: You need an appropriate midi cable that plugs into your Ataris midi port and into your pc's joyport usually. On both machines you have to search for the place to configure syncronization. You have to use the same type of sync'ing on both machines. Set o...

Try using port 21 on your ftp connection.
You can make an entry saying so.

I think the biggest difference is the possibility to use of Fat 32 partitions.
Long filenames should already have been there.

I missed MagiC 5 out as I upgraded directly from Mag!X 2.0 to MagiC 6.20.

I'd be interested in such adapters as well, as my TTM monitors are getting old er with the years.
Still doing a terrific job though. :)

While I'm owning my Milan for not so long, the Milan Help page is quite nice.

Odd Skancke has a TOS Clone mailing list iirc.

OK, 2nd SD card (ex-TomTom installation card) and I can create a partition that's TOS/Windows compatible but HDDriver won't see it after I've created it for some reason. Any ideas? Just doing a test whereby I'm formatting it on the PC using FAT file-system and copying some files across to it. See w...

You must have the drive as one partition if you want to use it under windows.
If anyone wants to use it with more than one partition windows is not capable of reading or writing to it.

It might be useful to overwrite the partition table or whatever is responsible for this special partition.
Afaik SED can do that, and some other pieces of driver software should be able to do it as well.

Making an image under Linux on a TT might be useful also.

I'd do a backup of the files on the drive and set it up from scratch.
Maybe this would help.

One of my Mega/STes is working fine on hd disks without Ajax or other upgraded chips. Just swapped the drive and switched the jumper.

Are you certain your replacement floppy drive is ok?

Did you use the desk to format?
If so try it again with Fastcopy Pro.

Regarding MiNT I just want to add that you can have a small MiNT/ XaAES/ Teradesk installation of about one and a half meg on your drive that shouldn't be too much data and which would let you run an FTP server in the background plus your favourite FTP client in the foreground. However FTPing can be...

I once used azerty when being to France.
I found it easier to search into the French version of Systemsteuerung (don't know the English term - system preferences would come to mind) than to have to look for each key to press.

A French TOS wouldn't be a problem though. ;)
