Hmmm - I know of people who had more than one gig attached to STs via a Link 9x adapter.
Maybe even via an old ICD adapter, but I'm not too certain about that.
Maybe that's due to the difference between TOS 2.06 Mega/STe and TOS 2.06 ST.

That's for Link adapters only I guess.
But I'm not certain about it.

2. No, it does not make sense that way. The ICD board just provides scsi capabilities to the bus and uses scsi id 6 for the clock. The other id's are used by the devices you connect - nothing more. SatanDisk should definately work! If it doesn't I suspect it's the ICD board that messes things up. I...

The fact the forum is usually talking German should not matter as I specified the thread.

i'm reaplying to this since I bought the same model (v769970) and it behaves strange. I didn't do many tests but for some really strange reason hddriver 8.20 couldn't detect any partitions on my 40 GB IDE harddisk. I had problems with HdDriver recognizing my new 120 gig Toshiba drive on the Falcon....

SatanDisk - alternative version?

Ok, guys. On Atari-Home the user tuxie is thinking about bringing more SatanDisks into circulation. If enough people... and so on. He did likewise with Ethernec adapter boards, and from what I can tell about the Ethernecs (got four of them myself) I'd say his SatanDisks might be a burner as well. Th...

Mega/STe

On Atari-Home some guy is trying to get rid of his Mega/Ste.
If he doesn't succeed within the next days he'll trash it.
It seems pricey at first, but he would go down a lot for not having to trash it I think.

Please click here.

New test for having both SatanDisk and ICD adapter. 1. Summary : both connected and powered => does not work One or the other powered => boot corectly from the powered device 2. Therefore look like a conflict somewhere. Actually as the ICD board uses the ACSI 00.00-07.00 it makes sense. 1. I had si...

You can usually use any floppy drive on a Falcon.
You might just have to change the jumper settings (mostly soldered nowadays) or use a PC floppy cable instead of this operation.

Best method is talking to one of the MiNT gurus.
I'm not that experienced regarding MiNTnet.

About Highwire:
Did you use the correct network.ovl?
With MiNT it should be mintnet.ovl renamed to network.ovl.

Well - it depends on what software you're running on your machine.
It's definately not reasonable for the one meg version with just a floppy disk.
