Re: fpga64 can someone test a demoscene demo?

Wow!! :D , now sounds better than ever! :-) Thanks very much Sorgelig! PS: If I switch to NTSC (just for testing The Simpsons Arcade, one of the few games I'm not able to play), core doesn't work to me, but this problem was already on fpga64_c1541_160110.rbf on github I mentioned to Till the NTSC o...

Re: fpga64 can someone test a demoscene demo?

many of 1541 Ultimate II features would be amazing to add to the c64 core but id just be happy with 1541 improvements (ie. write) and support for a speedup cart like fastload or ability to load a .crt (with a fastloader) .. Will have to try sorgelig's sid rbf when I get a chance. :-) .. thanks for t...

Re: TRS-80 Model I/II/III/IV core possible?

Someone found a direct link to the cvs repository for the trs80 in the zxgate repository.. (hopefully this makes more sense to someone familiar with fpga programming)

Same here.. these were not at all popular or available in the USA back in the day .. so its nice to actually experience it.

Re: TRS-80 Model I/II/III/IV core possible?

ZXGate is the base of the ZX81 core in the MiST... so it would depend on how modular the TRS80 part is. Im not by any fantasy an FPGA person but this is the comment about the TRS80 part: ZXGATE - TRS80 ZXGATE's TRS80 comes in two flavours, one single chip with level 1 ROM and one with with external...

TRS-80 Model I/II/III/IV core possible?

I was wondering if a TRS-80 Model I/II/III/IV core would be possible (im referring to the black and white systems not the "coco" color computers) They were very popular and had pretty basic black and white displays with mostly text "graphics" .. z-80 based computers. https://en.w...

Re: fpga64 can someone test a demoscene demo?

I would just love some things like fastloader support (or even .CRT support ), .d64 write support and -- this is wishful thinking -- support of the MIST's hardware serial I/O port (the one the midi adaptor uses) for use with the c64 core.. would be nice to be able to connect it (say via a raspberry ...

Re: fpga64 can someone test a demoscene demo?

Pitty someone cant drop Jeri Ellsworth an email and ask her about SID in FPGA.. I'd say she is the definitive queen of c64 in FPGA. .. but she is busy with CastAR these days. what FPGA? the first one (on c-one) was half-backed and definitely not contained SID emulation (SID socket on the machine), ...

Re: MiST VGA Compatibility

I've got a new HDMI converter today to try because it claimed to support 50hz. It kind of does, but I realized it isn't an upscaler, just some kind of "HDMI compatibility box". It should help get a better signal but only if the TV supports 50hz via HDMI (an older TV of mine didn't, but re...

Re: Spec core with ZXMMC+

Funny NTSC mode on the C64 just causes my NTSC monitor (Samsung Syncmaster) to just go black.. (the old previous core worked).. so I think for some cores .. yes there are video issues.. I know the current c64 core does.

Re: Homemade FPGA based Amiga Picasso96 clone

Very interesting. How fast is the gfx card? like Picasso II? Could MIST do that too? I mean program the FPGA and use picasso 96 drivers. Thats what I hope someone who has more of clue on how this stuff works could possibly do.. but if nothing else it might be a good foundation for someone to build ...

Homemade FPGA based Amiga Picasso96 clone

Just found this article via Adafruit's blog.. https://github.com/mntmn/amiga2000-gfxcard via https://blog.adafruit.com/2016/04/20/homemade-graphics-card-for-the-amiga-2000/ What is interesting about this (in relation to MiST) is that the graphics hardware is implement in an FPGA and the sources are ...

fpga64 can someone test a demoscene demo?

I was wondering if someone can test a demo with their MiST/fpga64 code

"We Are Demo [2016]"
http://csdb.dk/release/?id=146723

I can not seem to get it to execute and didn't know if it was a bug or a compatiblity issue with the Mist .. just looking for a verifier to try it.

Re: Other USB com ports

I don't know which would be technically easier to implement (using the on-board "midi" serial) or (better) USB serial/network support for C64/Amiga cores.. I do hope they can eventually add that functionality in.

Re: Other USB com ports

This is something I also would love to see in the MiST cores .. (specifically the C64 core) .. While I can live with the repurposing of the on-board serial connector for the Amiga core .. I would also love to see it be able to use the more standardized usb-to-serial adaptor the ST core uses.. My cas...
