Re: GFABasic or STOS or other?

Boo hiss! STOS is amazing, and if you are looking at writing games, then I'm sure the library of extensions for STOS will blow away anything available for GFA. However I'll concede that the editor & support for GFA will be much better. I believe the best resource for STOS nowdays is [Exxo's STOS...

Re: Daimakaimura (Ghouls 'n Ghosts) for the Atari STE

Would it be fair to say 2MB was not available to most STe owners in the 90s? I mean it was possible, but most people did not have it.

Re: New Atari Legend font - Please help

browser's default "sans-serif" font... ! This is the only correct answer. Why are you worrying about typeface choice for content? let the browser handle it. Picking custom typefaces that look decent for titles, logos etc, NEVER works for content. Also, I don't want to see Roboto or Ubuntu...

I just realised my font comment sounds a bit negative. I should have added: well done on all the hard work it must have taken to recode the entire site! Believe me I know whats involved :) Good luck for the future - AL will be seeing regular visits from me.

Yeah that font needs to go really, titles / headings are ok, but not text. It does not scan well at all.

Ooh, what is the colour count in the isometric tile game with the girls walking around? Looks amazing. If only this was available as STOS extension - I'd be tempted to whip up a game :D

Idiotic or not they are not your comments to delete, it's just that Google has given you the tools to censor the speech of others, which is absolutely wrong. I strongly disagree. Its *your* youtube channel, where you are trying to get across *your* message, and grow *your* community. Other people c...

Re: Which direction retro computing goes ?

Retrocomputing will die with us, it is my opinion. Youngsters want speed, realtime everyday graphics. ... Not a chance. Think back to when you were young, perhaps in the heyday of the ST. You wanted speed, and realtime everyday graphics (whatever that is). You wanted something better than the ST (o...

Hey I'd like to say Hi - I'm no longer an Atari user, but I was a fanatic at one point. My interests were mainly in games & STOS programming. Someone from Australia and this forum has tried to make contact with me before, but I think I may have been very rude & forgotten / never replied. Sor...

Thanks Mr. Seagal, and sorry for getting your name wrong! :) Ok, so I guess I can just resort to my backup plan, which was actually use shared files that both the emulated ST & my PC can access - i.e. files on the harddisk, or in the PRG folder of Steem. Not ideal, but it will probably work. And...

Never had a problem with an ST (apart from an ominous buzzing noise coming out of the PSU that got louder the longer it was turned on), but my speccy just flat out silenced the downstairs radio when it was turned on. I cant express how angry I got when my mum told me to turn it off. She wanted some ...

Argh, well I think the Amiga wins this one, I feel dirty saying that out loud, on here. Sorry. Hey Zeusdaz, I know it must be a pain to set up, but these sorts of videos benefit from playlist links in the description - like in Gaming History Source's videos.
