Re: New MIST core: PC Engine!

Okay, I booted on my projector, changed the settings, tried to save them, but they were actually not saved. (or not loaded as the provided "TV" config file doesn't seem to be applied)

Re: MiST VGA Compatibility

Hmm, this one : http://code.google.com/p/mist-board/wiki/Displays
Well, linebreaks are missing which is easily fixed but there are very few entries actually.
Or is there another list ?
Thanks :)

Re: New MIST core: PC Engine!

Hmm, I thought prefs were not saved properly which explains why there was 2 different config files provided.

Re: New MIST core: PC Engine!

Hi ! Does anyone manage to get the core to work properly at 15 KHz (with a SCART cable) ? I used the provided "TV" config file and also put the disable_scandoubler=1 line in mist.ini (which is applied properly for other cores) but this core is still being displayed at 31 KHz.

Re: NES core on MiST

Hi everyone ! I have a little issue ! For the first time I'm trying the NES core with a 15 KHz screen. An old TV from my wife's teenager bedroom :) I'm quite happy with the result ! However, NES games (both in PAL and NTSC mode) appear quite off-centered, and especially quite a few columns are missi...

BTW... As I suggested to Rok earlier... What about a Patreon campaign to fund work from a couple of core MiST developers ?

Re: MiST inside Amiga 1200 case with keyboard.

Sorgelig : your work is greatly appreciated :) Thanks for your explanations ! Definitely looking forward to many people building their custom cases :) > I'm planing to make my own scaler on FPGA. So, it will be able to handle high range of video from PAL to real VGA modes and output to HDMI. That wo...

Re: Compatible USB gamepad or joystick for MiST

Hi ! Out of curiosity, is it possible to map mouse axis to the analog sticks of gamepads in order to use a gamepad as both a joystick and a mouse ?
(for instance with some 8bitdo gamepads)

cheers ! :-)

Re: MiST inside Amiga 1200 case with keyboard.

Wow, you addressed all the issues I referred to in the former thread !! Very clean work, congrats ! I would definitely love a more detailed tutorial but I understand it would be quite time consuming for just a couple of persons :) As I said earlier, I pre-ordered the new A1200 cases from Philippe La...

Re: MiST core and firmware changelog

@Sorgelig : that's the other way around actually : keyboard emulation from the joystick (for instance : map the SHIFT keys to the back buttons of a gamepad ; or another example : map the spacebar to a button of the gamepad). OK, I'll open a bugreport as soon as I have access to my MiST again :) Than...

Re: MiST core and firmware changelog

Oh man ! I was about to give up my idea of putting the MiST in the new A1200 cases (current kickstarter https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/a1200housing/new-compatible-keycaps-for-amiga-computers) and now you release that !! Oh BTW, is the keyboard -> gamepad mapping feature still disabled when use...

Re: NES Core scanlines patch

I'm a fan of scanlines so thanks a lot !! It does work here, no problem and is a very welcome improvement :) I noticed before that the NES core was unstable when using some SD cards ; but it's not the case with the one I now use and thus there is no problem with your patch either. Hmm... Do you thin...

Re: AGA core for mist

Yep, there are a few problems ATM, but that's a known issue. When 2 gamepads are plugged, kbd emulation is disabled. When only 1 gamepad is plugged, it works but not accurately (key releases itself). Edit : OOPS, I misread, I thought you were referring to keyboard emulation on the joystick and not j...

You make a point :) Love those cracktros and I have the feeling using floppies would enable to focus more on a given game. Whdload makes it way too easy to exist a game and start another one :)

Re: AGA core for mist

@ javidoom : you're probably well aware of this but... you can work around many compatibility issues by using WHDLoad versions of games. You need to set up a proper hardfile beforehand, though.

Re: MiST, NES core: switch between NTSC and PAL

Actually, in this specific thread I was initially refering to the filter in the NES core which is neither bilinear filtering nor scanlines. Kinda supersai/supereagle-like. Pretty cool for the NES. I was wondering if this specific filter could be implemented on the Amiga/PCEngine/etc. side too. Kinda...

Re: MiST, NES core: switch between NTSC and PAL

Hehe, I'm part of those who are really surprised about the whole "pixel art" fashion. Back in the days, Amiga / Atari computers, when used with a proper CRT TV (in RGB) used to look amazing and not blocky at all. Nowaydays, enabling scanlines makes the brain fill the void and thus makes th...

Re: MiST, NES core: switch between NTSC and PAL

Speaking of the NES core, any idea why vertical scrollings are perfect but horizontal ones jerky ? Even with NTSC games in 60 Hz and using the 640x480 resolution. I tried several screens, projectors etc. :) Apart from this, I feel this is so much more playable than what I achieve with emulators on t...

Re: MIST, Plus_Too core: eject disk

Indeed, on the real Mac Plus, you could either eject from the Finder (dragging the icon onto the trashcan), or, from inside an app, the app itself would eject the disk if necessary. There was no physical button. There was probably a shortcut ?
