Re: Looking for 2 games name

Bombuzal had a 2D mode that was pretty basic and said "Player 1, Get Ready" and "Arrgh!" when you died.. http://www.abandonia.com/files/games/588/Bombuzal_3.png http://www.amigareviews.leveluphost.com/pic/bombuzal-a.png Blue Angel 69 was also a bit weird, a simplistic puzzle game...

Re: So what can I do with an Atari ST?

Hi Everyone! I'm a new here, I'm waiting on another post to fix my Atari ST, as I lie in wait hoping that there will be some answer that will revive my new/old toy.. I can't help but asking.. What can I do with an Atari ST? Are there any good joypads available for them? What about games, what are s...

I think it works on SainT.. I had that problem with STEEM too, couldn't get it to work.

You might have to play with the RAM & TOS configs a bit.

Re: Should we be afraid to use any name related to Atari?

They probably have bots programmed to fire off an automated 'Cease & Desist' order to any person who registers a website with a name they might possibly want to use in the future, but they don't want to go to the hassle of pre-registering them all themselves.

Re: Should we be afraid to use any name related to Atari?

Anyone can see the gaping holes in their logic. You can't copyright a word in the English Language and say it 'belongs' to you, although I suspect that the threat of legal action would be enough to make many people comply. (Tim Langdell - the guy who owns the trademark for Edge Games - was also goin...

Re: Anarchy In The UK

I have heard of someone being asked to train a new member of staff to do their job before they have left! and the new member is on more pay! the trainer does not get any bonus or even thankyou! I ended up doing that (sort of).. This one place I was at for a while, they sat this new lad next to me a...

Re: Anarchy In The UK

To my mind, that really is devaluing people to the level of machinery. :? And, surely, making them get so bored that their eyes glaze over and 20 defective components pass by before they realise they've been daydreaming! It better than having jobs taken over by machines. These are automated test ma...

Re: Anarchy In The UK

Yes I agree. Back in early to mid 1990s I remember coming in to work one day and seeing a huge banner, proclaiming the companies new slogan of being 'on a mission', which caused major alarm bells to ring in my head and I found it too American for my tastes. Also around this time I remember hearing ...

Re: Anarchy In The UK

Too many excuses are made for the underclass, and that somehow they can be moulded into something much better. Anyone who thinks they can be anything other than mere destructive animals is sadly deluded. A solution will come but probably not in my lifetime, unless a HUGE natural disaster comes alon...

Re: Anarchy In The UK

Bit worried about my Mum & Dad as they're like 30 miles away from Manchester & Liverpool (Preston) and well out of the center, so should think they'll be fine. Mate of mine from Wigan posted that there was a minor bit of trouble out by him but not much and I also heard that there were some s...

Re: Pirate games at the car boot sale

Anyone ever get a copy of 'Bloggo's POW!' ? ;) I never bought copies from a car-boot as I could generally get whatever I wanted from my mates at school. However - there was a bloke who had a regular spot on the car boot in Preston from around '87 who started off with 8-bit games (all originals) that...

Re: Atari Falcons - are they worth what they go for?

Wow I thought you were taking the p**s about the price of the Dreamcast on Ebay, but you are not! I cannot believe they are so cheap! Is this because they are really common or are people not interested in them? Both points! sadly, coupled with the fact that 'most' people of that era will have gone ...

Atari websites lack the 'Granada' Closedown sequence. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=72NZOB0ZPbo (As does Granada itself now as it's all 'ITV1' - thanks for nothing Michael Grade, you utter git!) How on earth did you find this?? "Don't forget to feed the budgie" - classic!!! Lol! There's ...

Re: 1040 STF - Probably just needs a monitor

Wonder if it does include the actual memory upgrade kit at all or just the SIMM. Want to use the internet with a browser, FTP or other communications applications on your ST? If so a upgrade to 4Mb (the most your ST can take as standard) solves all these problems. Easy to fit, instructions provided...
