Re: TT issue / horizontal lines across the screen

I got the same problem.

After checking, it was the monitor cable.

Before you investigate the computer, try the TT with another monitor.

Re: Where is pin1 of the Falcon 030 IDE?

Hello,

CLAB MK II has still the IDE bus. Supplementary they removed the internal resistors used as terminator on the SCSI port.
With an adapter cable you can add a scsi HD inside. But remember to terminate everything properly.

As far as I know, CLAB MK I has still the resistors inside.

Re: First boot attempt ATW800

And some other 2 photos.

The atari monitor shows status of the processors (one base, and four from the farmcard).

So at least the farmcard is working. Now searching for a proper video cable to check the blossom card.

To be continued.

Re: AETEK IDE-Interface for Atari Mega STE AMIF1

Personally, for me, the VME bus must be reserved for a (s)VGA card. (s)VGA on those machines (TT,MSte) is a real must, and the VME bus is the only possibility to connect such a card. Hard-disks can be connected on different ways, like on the ASCI connector, For the same reason, I also prefer a netus...

Re: shutdown.prg for MiNT?

When I use the program under THING 1.27, my falcon starts always to reboot. When I use it under Gemini, it shut-down the computer properly.

Has someone some clues ?

Kind regards,

Mark

Update :

This (from 1999) version works fine. However, mine (from 2000) give some problems.

Re: Differences between Atari & C-Lab Falcons

If you have the choose, then take a Clab. They are much more scare than the stock falcons. So it would be a better investment, our you get more money back if you decide to sell them. Concerning the scsi modifications at the Mark II. Clab removed the internal resistors, and added an adaptor board. Bu...

Atari Falcon - video mode select.

Hello, Pin 18 and 19 determines the monitor type attached to the falcon (M0 and M1) They are always high +5V The connector ground the appropriate pin. On my falcon, I only can attach a ST monochrome monitor. So I'm assume that those pins are down, or the signal is not interpreted. However I checked ...

Hello,

I was trying to make a lean mint setup, and what I found on the web :

umint 1.0 : http://mikro.naprvyraz.sk/download.htm
Exactly what I needed.

Together with your site and some searching: a fully understandable mint configuration.

Re: Mint and console install

Hello,
Stupid me. Typo in the xaaes.cfg file.

I get now a console window, but how starts the shell ?
In there a parameter in TOSWIN2.CFG , or some other config file ?

I can start the shell, by starting BASH.TTP or MUPFEL.TTP

BTW, Your site about MINT is very very good.

If I get my mint properly working again ,I'll try to install MINT 1.18.

The netusbee USB part is according to me very important, due to it's biggest user-base.

Re: Mint and console install

But TOSWIN2 does nothing if I push on console. So, what are the required config files to doe something, like to open a console window.
