Re: Reading/booting on the B side

Have edited the title of the topic to please AtariZoll, btw.
So now, let's go back to the topic (and the topic only, don't want to begin a war).

Re: Reading the B side

That's an interesting request, and timely (not 2 days before release). :) I'll look at it. Begin to wonder how it worked. There's already a 'single-side SF354' feature, maybe it could go there ('single-side B'). There's no request section actually, maybe the development section? Thanks in advance S...

Re: Reading the B side

@kodak: yes,I know that and tried several times by the past, but it doesn't work.
@atarizoll: I don't want to boot only. I'd like also to switch on the fly.

But well, such a feature included directly in Steem would be very cool ;)

Reading/booting on the B side

I'm archiving a lot of floppy disks at the moment, and there are many disks that have one game on the A side and another one on the B side. There was a small hardware tip on the real machine, which consists of plug a paperclip in the drive port of the ST (also some shops did it more professional wit...

Then look this: http://www.stonish.net/Flame-Of-Finland-Superior-219#st93 Fully working ? Yes, if you test as it goes usual - only starting game ... Really could at least briefly to try all zones. All in all, lot of sites just horde stuff, does not care about how good is it all, and even give false...

Re: Stonish.net - Atari ST Menu disks (Euroswap, FOFT, SFX...)

Good news for all menus collectors: I have recently met Rebel MC from the Fanatics. He brought hundreds of floppy disks at home and I've started to dump them (Pulsion, Fanatics, Impact, Zuul, FMC-Connexion...). A few of them need to be repaired, but they work! Of course they are perfect additions to...

But there are worse things: this is forum section about preservation, and you come here with praising one single crack, one cracker - what would be OK, if it would be something exceptional, but it is not. And that talk about how long cracking took - please ... You're right. Topic moved to the Games...

Re: Stonish.net - Atari ST Menu disks (Euroswap, FOFT, SFX...)

@Methanoid : there is a missing list, but it's not accurate. Need to improve it a bit, that's why there's no link on the homepage to this list. You can find it here: http://stonish.net/missingmenus.php Also don't consider Pompey Pirates nor Superior /FOF menus in the list. I'm working on them, which...

Have the original version of The Human Torch and the Thing.
Game was published by Adventure International, but spread by US Gold.
Since it isn't protected, here is the MSA file dumped from the original disk.

Would love to get such a machine :D

Well, just a few SFX disks are missing now (if we consider v1 aren't so important than v2).

Fingers crossed as always ;)

Re: Stonish.net - Atari ST Menu disks (Euroswap, FOFT, SFX...)

Yes, there's still a l ot of menus that need to be checked and listed before uploading them on the site. Golden Dawn's menus are among them (they're already on Demozoo : https://demozoo.org/groups/33465 but they deserve to be on Stonish, too). Never heard about Sweet Sixteen, but as you said, there ...

Re: Stonish.net - Atari ST Menu disks (Euroswap, FOFT, SFX...)

Yes, of course there're many error on the site, but the one you mentioned isn't related to Stonish.

The game names links to Atari Legend website, which is down since many weeks.

I've heard it will back online as soon as their new project is finished ;)

Re: Stonish.net - Atari ST Menu disks (Euroswap, FOFT, SFX...)

Thanks for your encouragement Qube :) TOSEC hasn't been updated since a long time. It has also plenty of damaged / duplicated / unverified files, so well... Of course it doesn't mean Stonish is perfect, but I run each intro+game+tool+demo on each menu. Also I try to collect menus directly from the s...

Re: Stonish.net - Atari ST Menu disks (Euroswap, FOFT, SFX...)

Thanks for your report, Qube.
Good news: the dump of TLS #21 is safe.
I've unpacked BAT2_4 and compared this file to the data of the original game: they match 100%.
It's a problem with the File Checker, which doesn't affect the game.
You should be able to play the whole game w/o problem.

Re: Stonish.net - Atari ST Menu disks (Euroswap, FOFT, SFX...)
