Re: Hard disk image and real Atari ST hard disk on emulator

I curious how many people get directed to the relevant infomation as opposed to "Hatari User's Manual Version 1.6.2" http://hg.tuxfamily.org/mercurialroot/hatari/hatari/raw-file/tip/doc/manual.html#Moving_files_to_from_hard_disk_images I tested few other browsers, and apparently these lin...

Re: Can a terminal program in Hatari work with telnet BBS?

You would probably need only socat to make the virtual serial connection between to machines. For MIDI I've documented how to do that few years ago in doc/midi-linux.txt coming with Hatari. There are also scripts that can (at least under Linux) setup multiple local Hatari instances that are connect...

Re: Hard disk image and real Atari ST hard disk on emulator

When I select the Aranym link, I am graciously served with relevant information. When I select the Hatari link, I am reminded to read the manual . The Hatari html link is, somehow, not working as expected. Which browser do you have? The Hatari document internal link is right, but some Browse...

Re: The X68000 games porting experiment

I checked the header of one of my own files generated by m68k-atari-mint-gcc, and prgflags == 0x00000007, which seems to mean all the speedy bits are set by default! VBCC defaults to 0x7 too. "mintbin" package contains "flags" program to change the program load flags: http://spa...

Re: Pacmania

The ghosts intel seems lower. I suppose it is because to be easier to test the level, isn't it? I guess the game is easier because you see more of the screen. Maybe ghosts had to be made more stupid compared to pacman games where user saw whole screen, to compensate for seeing so little of the maze...

Re: RTC problem on Win32 build of Hatari 1.6.2?

For the 1st case, some things were fixed in the IKBD code since 1.6.2 was released. Windows libraries localtime() reports NULL for dates before "epoch" (1970) which caused crashes for mingw compiled version of Hatari. This was worked around in Hatari so that when NULL is returned, a fixed...

Re: Can a terminal program in Hatari work with telnet BBS?

I was able to get it to work. Using socat, Hatari can talk to tcpser4j, which handles the telnet. I wrote up an explanation here: http://breakintochat.com/blog/2012/12/13/telnet-to-bbs-within-emulator/ Thanks, this looks cool! :-) Have you tried playing any Atari multi-player games over the emulate...

Re: Hard disk image and real Atari ST hard disk on emulator

Can I add a hard disk folder (windows folder) and exchange info with this image and files from my windows folder? Yes, but the emulated Atari machine can naturally access the HD image content only when you've loaded a HD driver, from auto/-folder at boot or by directly running it from emulated Atar...

Re: Configure Aranym like new firebee OS?

Has anyone used Aranym or Hatari to setup FreeMint, XaAES with NVDI5 and the three desktops of choice like the Firebee has? Aranym is better alternative for running MiNT than Hatari because Aranym allows using host directories under MiNT whereas with Hatari one can use only hard disk images. Dealin...

Re: Hatari on Original Xbox

Hatari has very few dependencies. If libSDL and libz are already ported, and the compiler has OKish support fo C99 C-standard, there should be no problems. (I've understood that Microsoft compiler support for the C99 C-standard has been a bit patchy, they've been adding proper support to it only ten...

Re: Hatari and a real keyboard and mouse

I would like to use a Keyboard and a Mouse (TT keyboard?) that is only used with hatari and not shared with the host system. Hatari just gets input events from SDL. If you have multiple e.g. USB keyboards, all of them should be usable for keyboard input, but I don't think SDL provides any keyboard ...

Re: Hatari, Falcon and Adebug

Enabling the new winUAE emulation layer solved my problems. I was thinking that to switch the emulation engine, you just have to tick the "Slower but more compatible CPU" in the options. That option just switches the CPU core to more cycle accurate mode, it doesn't change the CPU core. :-...

In addition to being great on your personal computer, FS-UAE...

I tried to test it again on my Atari Mega STe 4MB, 2.06 UK. It didn't work. Makes the same than the earlier version: white screen, cursor on the top left corner and back to the desktop. It worked on Steem emulator 3.3.0 (it showed pacman on the low left corner in different views). Well, thanks for ...

I found a bug in the v3 of the demo. If you change to the small round shape and leave a few bombs just before you exit through pipe to another area, it crashes.

Do they need to be plain ST? If your handheld is fast enough and has reasonably sized screen, you could run also some Falcon programs which don't need DSP. For example: - Some Reservoir Gods Falcon game like Double Bobble 2000: http://rg.atari.org/game.htm - Some Paradize Falcon puzzle game: http://...

Yes, it seems like there's some problem with SDL. What's your SDL version and X resolution? Does your X have single fixed resolution (like some embedded devices I've used had), or does it support multiple resolution? Something that you could try is disable fullscreen, zooming and borders with "...
