BCS SouthWest Retro Gaming event video

I thought this might interest a few of you. Every year at Plymouth University there is a Retro Gaming/Computer event held in November. I had forgotten that they had put up a video on their Youtube channel from the event, event forgot that I'm in it, ha! Anyway, the link is below for you to enjoy. BC...

Re: Time to go... in to the dark night

Bit of a late reply just to say thanks for your contributions Nick. Your 16/32 shop is part of my memories of the Atari scene. I think I might have bought a memory upgrade from your at an Atari show in Birmingham in the mid 90's if you were in attendance. Best of luck with your new responsibilities ...

Fantastic and the only correct outcome. Also nice to see how much this site means to the community. So much content and history here that it would have been a shame if that had been lost.

Well on the subject of alternative domain names, IF it comes to that. It's more likely to be an automated search/C&D email, like the other case. I happen to agree with this and hope that from the forum's point of view that this is so. Sorry for the long absence. Been quite busy forging on with my career so I am very sad to read this. Something that has happened t...

Well done Dal for spotting this and seeing to it in such speedy time even with commitments. Just thought I might make a few suggestions though. If they attacked the database directly have a look at the security settings on the hosting server including the login details for it. Also any security meas...

Nice to see another programme to do this. The one that you might be thinking of is Xnview. I've used that for years, as well as it being a great pic viewer it always made me smile to know it supported Atari picture formats. :-)

Re: Favourite Games!

I always seemed to prefer Lotus 1, don't know why spent a bit of time on that one.. I think it may be the way they introduced the 'full screen' in later versions, the added top doesn't really help the movement of the game, as for the most part it's static. Vroom is hard to fault, there were another...

Call me easily pleased then. :-P I did prefer Outrun Europa over Outrun mind. As for racing games I think Lotus III tops them all.

Outrun The ST version? Seriously? 8O It did come with a bonus of being able to disassemble it as Probe left the code labels in. Probably more fun making it work better :-) Sent from my rooted & upgraded Galaxy S2 Outrun did indeed come out for the ST. I've owned it, played it and love it. Had g...

That would look great. However it is best implemented as a new 'style' so that users can select between this and a 'new' style. The added complication comes with regards to the phpbb modifications. Most mods require additional code in the styles so it means maintaining these changes in another styl...

I actually know the guys behind Substation, or at least used to hang with some of them. Mikael "Empa" Emtinger was one of the coders. He and I where in the same demo-crew. (ZEAL) Also Olov Johansson (now Olov Lassus) from ZEAL was helping out with the coding. He was only like 14-15 years ...
