Re: rsrc_saddr where are some examples

It's "in the same boat", and it doesn't matter which one either of us is in. Go check out Stack Overflow, if someone asks a coding question and doesn't share code that demonstrates where they got stuck, then the question is generally closed and deleted because helping them turns into a gue...

Re: rsrc_saddr where are some examples

Haha, fair enough  I'm always willing to show my code because you learn a lot from people reviewing and criticising it, but if you're not comfortable with that, no worries.

Can you post the code you've written so far Charles? It might be easier to see how to help then.

Re: MINT: We don't make this easy do we?

IMO the NodeJS ecosystem and/or community has contributed a lot to this tendency to produce massive websites. I recently forked a stub project at work that includes a "simple" Node server with React/Redux/Webpack for the front end. When built, it had a "node_modules" folder conta...

Re: OIDS hard disk and floppy versions for test

Is it possible to program the IKBD to automatically translate input from the Jagpad into joystick/keyboard commands so you don't have to manually patch so many places? If so, that remapping code could be reused for other games.

Re: OIDS hard disk and floppy versions for test

Since the kids came into existence, there is no space in my small place to set up the Ataris, but I'll definitely give this a run in Hatari on the weekend. Still hoping you will do a livestream/Youtube recording of your workflow :D

This is very exciting! I wish you would livestream the process of investigating, cracking, fixing, enhancing and testing... it would be really interesting to watch.

Re: exxos's webshop forcefully shutdown :(

Within Europe SEPA (IBAN) is reasonably quick and fee-less. Outside of Europe I'd propose an idea I've been mulling over for quite some time. Use Bitcoin. The transfers will go through immediately, and while it's somewhat of a hassle for the buyer to first acquire the bitcoin, we in the retro movem...

It worked on my old STFM with 1.4 IIRC. I used to use this to extract an SFX archive from one disk to a ramdisk, without copying it across first. Hold right click while double clicking a program in a background window, and it executes with the working directory of the foreground window. At least I t...

Re: WHERE TO DOWNLOAD ST/FALCON GAMES

you might have noticed climatics.com is down. due to legal reasons i had to close it. I can't tell you all the details for the moment but it looks very serious. i'm actually not allowed to speak about it.. so i guess its probably the best to limit access to all your sites as well. the case is comin...

Not Pacmania for Falcon? Sorry but the experiment has been put on hold due to time constraints. Cheers Sascha I also wish there were more hours in the day! Hopefully some of that pressure reduces soon so we can see more of this fascinating project. I must admit to having been initially skepti...

Medusa T40 for sale on eBay

There's a fancy sounding Medusa T40 for sale on eBay which is probably worth buying if you happen to be Bill Gates.

At the knockdown price of some €6,200 (including shipping) you'd be mad not to buy it right now!

8O

Shadowcaster was a great game - didn't know he had anything to do with it. 'Twas very smooth on my friend's weak 486.

Interesting story. I am not sure if the CPS-1/2 protection has something to do with this!? So you have stopped any further development then? What was your intention? ;) It's straightforward to step through the code in the MAME debugger; it might just be that I don't know enough about the layout of ...

I know it's still experimental right now, but it would be great to play a proper version of Street Fighter II... And also the X68000 version of Castlevania is wicked. Played it on the PSX once, but it's so rare to find. Totally agreed! The Atari ST version of SF2 is almost an insult to hum...

Re: Wi Fi Wireless LAN

That's the hard way. Had my TT030 and Hades on wireless years ago. Just get a simple wireless adapter, the kind used to get any old device on a wireless lan. Plugs into your existing ethernet port and no drivers needed. In fact the Atari won't even know its on wireless. Only catch is you have to co...

Nice music :) Strangely, the video "ends" at 0:59, but the audio keeps playing for another minute or so.
