Re: Found some eprom's in an ST lot

No they were loose on an old antistaic pad along with some other known ST IC's. I'm think they probably were corrupted. The window is open on all of them. Well Now I have some eproms to use to learn out to burn images into. Can I use M2716 setting to burn TOS images into these D2716's? I am assuming...

Found some eprom's in an ST lot

I found several eproms in a Atari ST lot a got a while ago. I recently got a erpom burner I'm learning to use. I just learned to read eproms. But I have no idea how to read hex. I saved the BIN's and thought I'd post them here for some of you experts can see what they are. The eproms are D2716's fro...

Re: FS: Capacitor replacement kits for Falcon030 motherboard and PSU.

This person already emailed me back. They use Nichicon Capacitors. Are these good? and they use 20% grater values than are on the caps being replaced. Is that good for our ST's?

Re: Screws!

Be careful of the screws at the front of the case. If they are just a bit to long, you will get a bump on the top of the case, as the screw pushes up on the case plastic. Worse they might pop through. I use 3/8" screws for the front.

Re: FS: Capacitor replacement kits for Falcon030 motherboard and PSU.

I think I found a person that will recap any ST motherboard, including parts, for $65usd plus $15 return shipping. Is that too much? They are on the USA east coast, so good for the us American fans. I am not sure what quality of parts they use. Still awaiting that info back from them about that. Als...

Re: FS: Capacitor replacement kits for Falcon030 motherboard and PSU.

What would be a fair price to have someone do the motherboard recap for you? I am NOT offering to do it. I would probably kill the board!
But just in general, what would be a fair price for such a service?

Re: Atari 520/1040 ST F/FM/E repro boxes - In the making

This is another great product! Thanks. A couple thoughts. Perhaps offer inserts for 260/520ST that would fit into the same box. Adding additional section boxes on the side. What about those fancy, colorful ST boxes they were first introduced with. Any possibility for those? Future 354/314 drive boxe...

ST Keyboard IC's needed

Anyone have any or a source other then best?

Re: CF card + HDDRIVER 10.02 in Falcon

You might be making this harder then you need too. The Falcon supports two IDE type drives. I use two IDE drives in my Falcon. One in 'Master' internal CF card. The other is a 'slave' SD card that slides in/out from the back. The internal has many partitions, and they are all TOS. It boots from C on...

Re: SD vs. CF memory cards for IDE interface

One thing I have noticed is that all the current SD adapters have the SD slot oriented 90' to the pins. So it can not be easily made to have the SD card removable from the back of the case. Also, for Falcon's, there is the 44 to 40 pin issue. Yes there are adapters, but then you have to split the 5V...

What might be causing this crash screen 1040STf

What might be causing this crash boot screen in one of my 1040STf's. This machine has always done this since I received it a couple months ago. I have reseated all the socketed IC's it has. suggestions? Oh, this is a black and white screen, on a 1224 color monitor.

Re: Which games could be possible on our Ataris today ?

ST's are made for MindCraft. 1st versions, not that 'expandable' craziness they have now, would work great! A slim version on an 800 matches up well. A 130XE upgraded version might be fun too! Most games that are not FPS can still be implemented on some version of ST. Many games on 'smart' (ya right...

I cut my losses and purchased one from Exxos. It costs a bit more, but you know that it will work correctly.
Getting FD off ebay is like rolling the dice in a crap shoot. You might get lucky, but chances are that you will not.

https://www.maximintegrated.com/en/prod ... 12887.html These do not have a battery attached. You have to attach one yourself. From their web page description: "If a primary power failure is detected, the device automatically switches to a backup supply. A lithium coin-cell battery can be connec...

There is a lot of great work going on here! I applaud you all! Well Done. I have a side related question. What about the cover disks that went with many of these mags? It would most convenient that when you look a mag online you cold also download the cover disk right there. Also, what cover disks I...

Re: Falcon NO display after NVRam replacement

All the Dallas IC's I got have dead battery. I did some Googling, and looking in here. I now know that they all on the Earth are probably dead. They have not made them in many years. Not true and not true. Both my ATARI Falcon's have original working DALLAS batteries. And DALLAS still make pin comp...

Re: Falcon NO display after NVRam replacement

Here is my Dallas 'Upgrade'. I used this video as a guide. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NdlSfqto_0o I'm pretty sure I got the polarity right. If I got it wrong the falcon would not boot? or worse? But this Dallas just might be bad in other ways besides the battery. I have 2 more Dallas IC I will ...
