Re: PSU info

What kind of info ? I did a test on this some time ago on my page. http://www.exxoshost.co.uk/atari/last/psu/index.htm I was just wondering if it was one of the better ones or not, and maybe which of the ST's Atari put it in. All my psu's are the ASP34-1 except this one. I have never seen anyone me...

PSU info

Does anyone have any info on this psu? I have not been able to find any thing on it. I bought it off of Ebay a few years ago as a spare, and it does work.

Re: Atari Testkit All-In-One - 2nd Batch

I found out this might have been plugged in upside down. What damage would that do? Probably killed EPROM and 74F86... maybe polarized capacitor (near LED), too. Be lucky I used sockets! Btw, you said in the doc pdf we could have the eprom hex file if we wanted it, could I get that from you ...

I understand, lol. I am very happy you used sockets, thank you for that. I'll post here when all is well again. Thanks for your help Arne.

Re: Atari Testkit All-In-One - 2nd Batch

A client once reported this behaviour with a new testkit on a F030. After plugging/unplugging a couple of times he saw that the Falcon's ROM-Port connector was corroded. Anyway: you got the schematics of the testkit, so take a scope and check the EEPROM's /CS signal. If it is not pulled low on boot...

Re: Atari Testkit All-In-One - 2nd Batch

Arne, I went to use my testkit today, and it no longer works. The testkit's power light comes on, but the ST just boots to the desktop. The jumpers are set correctly and I tried it on another ST but still the same results. How do I get this working again? I could really use it right now. Thanks!

Re: CosmosEx - new device for your Atari ST

I ordered mine last weekend. Could anyone who has ordered one in Canada let me know how long it took to receive it and if there were any problems with duties or taxes? Thanks! Mine took 8 days to get to me in the U.S. If you ordered it this weekend that just passed, it won't ship until this Friday....

Re: CosmosEx - new device for your Atari ST

As I'm after fixed disc for mine Atari STe [30mega stopped working & gave it to some 1 who wanted it to fix], I'd like a CosmosEX. On web-site &al., some 1 said that Raspberry Pi = better than Atari ST, & so there = no point using as fixed disc interface. Could I + my Rasp Pi model A, &...

Re: 4 meg 72 pin upgrade

Well, I gave up for now anyway, trying to upgrade an extra C070523-001 Rev.D motherboard I got from ebay years ago that had been hacked up by someone. All the pull out chips are good, but I couldn't get it to work. I did however, successfully upgrade a good, working 520STFM with the same board. It s...

As it's 8MB SIMM don't forget to pull /RAS1 and /RAS3 of the SIMM to high via two 4K7..10K resistors.

I appreciate that Arne, thank you!

Can anyone tell me if this simm will work for the 4 meg 72 pin simm upgrade? I didn't know I would be receiving simms with only 4 chips (2 per side), or doesn't it matter? Thanks.

simbo, can you better show which wires connect to which pins on the memory buffers? Maybe show all connections to the motherboard in one list?
Thanks!

Keyboard rubber cups

I could use a set of the original rubber cup springs for the ST keyboard. I don't want to buy those "TT Touch" ones because I only need them for a spare keyboard I'm using for testing, it's even missing some key caps. For the life of me, I can't remember why I took this keyboard apart or w...
