Re: Game Port to STE Enhanced Ports

I cannot find any documentation with regards the potentiometer rating required on the x/y axis. The fire buttons are just mapped as is I assume! The spare can just be mapped to the up and down of joy 2 maybe. I have the feeling that this would work BUT results may be wired as the STE port is multipl...

Game Port to STE Enhanced Ports

Hi all, I am wonder has any actually tried just to wire up a (now old) Game Port joystick to the STE Enhanced ports? It seems the wiring is all there, I am interested in the Analogue port (not D pad stuff); Analogue Joystick https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Game_port STE Enhanced Ports https://gamesx.c...

Re: Hardwarescrolling Control3.5a extension

You are using an STE, why not use the Blitter to do the sprites? Source and Dest X and Y increments sort out all of these problems plus you do not need to pre-shift. I think you have to do bitplane at a time and SKEW it, I can't remember. Anyone know of example source code to do this? You should be ...

I I have tried both the "modes" for the keyboard, however, not sure I tested for reversed Ctrl & Alt in both mode - will give it another try.

My arrow keys do not work either...

Hatari key mappings

Hi,

I am trying to use Monst within Hatari but I cannot figure out how to map the Ctrl-Z key so I can single step. I have not used Monst for 20 years or so and I am sure that is the right key press and I think this is more that Hatari on Mac is not mapping the key press, any ideas?

Thanks

I want to install EasyMint, however, the distribution site seems to be down.

Does anyone have a working link? Or should I be looking at other packages?

Read mouse data directly

I was wondering how you can get the X/Y of the mouse pointer? I wanted to move the mouse into the bottom border, however, I found that I could not use any of the standard calls or functions (they did not report the X/Y off screen or they broke bottom border removal. So I started to to look at the ha...

Re: lower border removal in STOS

I managed to get it removed with a flicker (off then on) every 8 seconds or so. From memory it MUST be compiled and you need to remove all other interrupt crap (such as mouse, clear the VBL list, etc). My routine started out as a raster thing. I had three VU meters on each border (left and right) an...

Finding Music

I am trying to find some chip music from a demo. From memory it was a mega demo (2 - 4 disks), there were a load of crews participating but there was a French demo which was kinda text only (that you could scroll up and down) and the text was coloured by rasters. It did little more than that but it ...
