How can I bypass internal IDE and boot from SCSI?

Hello everyone... I've got a Falcon now and am re-learning the ropes. When I got it, it came with a Suska Giga-file SCSI SD Card reader and no internal hard drive. I've since added a new internal 10GB hard drive, but I'd like to be able to boot from the SCSI drive from time to time. I know I can hol...

Re: ATX Power Supply use on a Falcon030

Thanks guys... yeah, the Falcon connector is what I needed. I'm still not 100% sure how I'm going to connect them, or even if I AM going to connect them. I may just buy a new Falcon PS from Best and then trade off this 220v one as I'd originally planned. But that's an extra $100 I'm not sure I can s...

ATX Power Supply use on a Falcon030

Good morning all...

I need to be able to hook my Falcon up to an ATX Power Supply for a few weeks until my new 110v power adapter comes in. I've looked, but I can't find the specific pin-outs to do this.

Could anyone please provide these or a standard layout to do this?

Thanks!

Re: Falcon Power Supply - going from 220v to 110v question

I would be willing to do that, but give me a little bit to play with my machine before I have to take it down again. I'll let you know when I'm ready, and if you still want to swap, we can.

Thanks!

Falcon Power Supply - going from 220v to 110v question

Hey everyone... thanks to a great head's up given here on the board, I've got a Falcon coming from the Netherlands to the USA. It's currently got a 220v power supply in it and I'm going to eventually want to drop that down to a 110v. I just need to know, is it a matter of getting a 110v from Best or...

Re: FOR SALE - Atari Falcon 030 UK - SOLD

Is €750 too much to spend for that unit? It includes Cubase as well as the digital and analog interface hardware, the video blow up hardware for higher resolutions, the gigafile adapter, etc. I thought it was a reasonable price.

I know... I'm just really anxious to get my hands on one. I see one on Marktplaats.dl, but I can't read Dutch and I'm having difficulty with the login process and Google Translate.

Good day everyone! I've been looking for a Falcon for ages. Now, I've finally saved enough to realistically start looking for one. If you have one for sale, please let me know stats and what kind of price you're looking for and we'll see if we can make a deal.

Thanks!

Quick question about keyboard extension

Heya everyone... Been a long time gone, but now I'm back and had a quick question. I want to move my keyboard out of my STe case and into it's own external keyboard case (custom made of course). Would anyone see a problem with me going from the STe MB keyboard connector to an external keyboard case ...

Still looking for a Falcon - US preferred

All -

I'm looking to buy a Falcon.

Specs are pretty irrelevant as long as it works. 4mb minimum w/ internal HD is preferred as a bare minimum.

Let me know if you have one for sale, how much you'd like for it, and where you're located.

Thanks!

WTB Falcon 030 - US Preferred

All - I'm looking to buy a Falcon finally. I have a decent amount of money saved back, and now I'm looking to spend it. I'd like a CT60 based, 14MB, Internal card reader, etc. But what I can afford is probably a basic 4MB stock version with an internal HD. Let me know if you have one for sale, how m...

Composite video fuzziness

Heya all. I've been away for quite a while, but I got bit by the bug again. I've created a composite cable of sorts, but the video quality is very poor. This is coming off a 4meg STE w/ an AdSpeed 16 and TOS 2.06 in it. All I did was come off pin 2 and pin 13 to a standard RCA Plug. I get vide...

Re: deleting memory

First off, welcome to the board! Second, the ST line of machines do not retain anything in memory once the machine is powered off. The only minor exception being the NVRam on the Atari Falcon030. Once you power off the machine, memory is clear. Depending on how long it's been since you used those di...

Would THIS work for running an STe to a VGA monitor in color mode?

What about for demos / games?

I could be wrong, but I think in an STE, it's simply plug and go. Put your new roms in and boot it up. Someone else may want to confirm.
