Re: Anyone interested in 68k disassembler for windows ?

Has this been updated at all in the last 4 years? Hi there, In the last few years, when I had some spare time, I've tried to find a way to port this, so that linux and mac users could also use it. But no matter what environment I try, it always ends up with a compiled executable of 10 MB or more fo...

Re: Anyone interested in 68k disassembler for windows ?

What is the difference between open program and open ST image? As it looks like the open program can directly disassemble code without prog file header? Thanks, DrCoolZic.. You're right about the ini file. Open program: disassemble program file without header. Open ST image: disassemble bootsector ...

Re: Anyone interested in 68k disassembler for windows ?

Here's a new version.
If you go to Options->disassembler, then choose the Code generating tab.
Check "Label all instructions" and "Show Opcodes"
It will produce offsets and opcodes as well as the disassembled code.....

Re: Anyone interested in 68k disassembler for windows ?

Are you trying to add the capability to decode directly a boot sector (and eventually a MBR) ? The new version loads in .ST images and disassembles bootsector only. Ask for another feature: it would be nice to have a flag that would add the location and binary associated with the code. of course co...

Re: Anyone interested in 68k disassembler for windows ?

One quic note. When writing results it takes by default the same name and if you do not enter a .s suffix it will wipe out the original without notice. Not a big deal but would better if you append .s by default? Good tip, I will change this in a newer version. Could somebody give me a hint about b...

Re: Anyone interested in 68k disassembler for windows ?

Actally if I remember correctly I did try and it did not work. The file contains pure binary code extracted from a disk. Could you upload your image ? The problem with the root sector and the boot sector is that you need to be able to specify a start point (offset) in the code and eventually an end...

Re: Anyone interested in 68k disassembler for windows ?

May I ask for an improvement if it is not to hard? I am trying to disassemble so code in the boot section of a disk partition. Therefore it would be nice if it was possible to disassemble some code in a disk image. Nice idea... I will start working on boot-sectors next week. If you're in a hurry, y...

Re: Old music on floppy discs...

I'm not sure, but I think you have to convert your songs to plain MIDI files with C-Lab and then import them in Logic.

Have you checked this:

Re: sample playback doc

Nice demo. Looked into the code and can really learn from it as it uses MFP. Might crash the ST a thousand times by trying, just like the good old days. The muso's on here would love a batch tool that downsamples stereo 44Khz WAV or MP3 samples into single channel 8-bit raw samples :) .. would be ni...

Re: sample playback doc

It works fine under Steem ! 525 also works fine under Steem.
I'll never use WinSTon again !
I also wrote a little program that converts raw pcm 8 bits to AVR.
runs under windows.
If anyone might be interested I will post it as soon as I polished it.

Soundlab only seems to work from Drive A (or B), not from harddisk.
I'll try to find a windows convertor.
Any more suggestions ?
What do you guys use to convert ?

Re: sample playback doc

Another question, since I need AVR format.
My copy of 525 (v211) seems to hang whenever I try to convert samples.
Is this a known problem ?
Do I need another program ?
