Re: Atari Screensaver for Firebee

Yes, it was also in the HYP of v2.0 which I have ( I do not have the v2.01 HYP).
I mean the software ACC/CPX mentioned, I do not see it in my CT60CONF.CPX.
My guess is there is another ACC/CPX for it?

Re: Atari Screensaver for Firebee

A SLEEP function (SLP) was even added in the hardware and manageable by a software (an ACC or a CPX) to 'sleep" the machine (like the windows menu). I have never tried it, so I do not know if it works, but it seems there is a chance that its implemented and works. I never saw that in my CT60 C...

Re: Atari Screensaver for Firebee

i´d like to mention that you can use the always available and most efficient screensaver - the monitor power switch  Actually that's what I do if I leave my Falcon on and I need to go off for 10 mins. Any longer, I would just shutdown. Would be nice to have a sleep mode. On my windoze, I put i...

Re: Atari Screensaver for Firebee

Glad that at least one saver worked for you.
I do not use Twilight, never used any screen savers, even on my windows.
I use all with LCD, which still burn-in but not as bad as CRT.

Re: Use ST High via screencast, without mono monitor

At the time when I was using my STFM with a colour monitor, to test Hi-rez software, I used the software called Sebra
https://www.atariuptodate.de/en/5600/sebra
No extra hardware needed.
But of course using Screencast is kind of a cool method.

I can see your point, but it still would be nice to use it. If I cannot, then I will just go with out one. Who knows, maybe the next monitor I get will have a built in one. Any screensaver works for you? even the one that is built in to the monitor? http://didier.mequignon.free.fr/firebee.htm Look ...

but there are atleast one that works with actual usb mice. I believe it's called Jerry. I am using a MS wireless mouse on a Smally USB mouse adapter on my Falcon. Also tested with a cheapo EUR 1.30 MIC no-brand wireless mouse. Both works, the MIC no-brand wireless mouse was very light so I went bac...

Re: TTOS BLUE (TOS version 3.00)

PS: Also, given that I have (part of) the contents of the version control system used for the TOS source code, I can see that Atari went through different boot screen colors for TT-TOS prerelease versions, presumably to make them easier to differentiate. They had magenta in March 1990, orange in Ap...

Lots of stories why it did not work out for DR.... but I think he should have just agreed to IBM conditions as IBM was one of the biggest IT firm then.

This is a nice idea.
The DSP port has nothing connected to my Falcon since day 1.
So it be good to be able to do something with it.

Additional storage and another way xfer files is always good.

Re: USB printer driver project

On colour, I tested on a home multi function 4185 deskjet and an commercial multi function Ricoh MPC4004. For NVDI, I must have but I can't remember the results. Nowadays, most new printers understand PDF and can print them out correctly. But mainly still depends on the printer capability. PHPDF doe...

Re: USB printer driver project

Yes, for colour printing most printers have moved to PCL5 but NVDI is still stuck at PCL3 ( or thereabouts). While the black & white PCL stuff have remained pretty much constant, colour PCL commands have advanced in leaps and bounds and are so missing from NVDI drivers. That's why the low colour...

Re: NVDI adding printer

The other problem is that that my NVDI installer disc is corrupt, I am sure I have back-ups somewhere but can't find them. That's probably the real cause of all your problems. Also, on the Milan I don't want NDVI to mess-up the video drivers since it doesn't use the NDVI ones so using the instprn a...

Re: USB printer driver project

The Xerox 6022 will print 600dpi in black and white using the NVDI HP 6L driver. ImageCopy will print true color images (16M colors) at 300 dpi using its Deskjet driver. It's not photo quality however. Yes, Philippe (Faucon2001 here on AF) had done a lot of testing on various NVDI drivers on printe...

BTW, did you manually change the assisgn.sys because 23 is canon driver on mine ? LOL... quoting myself. I did asked if you edited that assign.sys file because the canon.sys was on 23 in my assign.sys file but 21 on yours. May be NVDI setup did that for you... IDK... so I did not tell you that 21 i...

Re: Falcon NVRAM / Dallas chip - where to find replacement?

Simply because you have no idea what you'll get. A lot of ICs from China (ebay) are counterfeit, malfunctioning or used. Buy one from Mouser and save yourself a lot of potential hassle. I got a couple from China, and used them in my Falcon since 2 years ago. Not sure if they are counterfeit or malf...
