Re: Looking for Stoop 1.05 Release

I am not surprise that stoopfix does not work for you. Like I mentioned it was for my own use, and so probably tailored to my system. As I use Mint most of the time, the standard 1024x768 resolution I use in TOS is only for fixing if Mint goes wrong. I cannot find the source code of stoopfix any mor...

Re: Converting 4 chars to a unsigned long?

C is very flexible, you can make your 4 bytes into long, short, char or a new type with 3 bytes in size.
Just that you need to know what you are doing.... and that's the pit fall as well ( you thought you know what you are doing).

Re: eBay deal gone bad

The used box can only keep the stuff together and need some structure like Styrofoam packing for strength and protection. The newspaper needs to be crumpled and not in sheets. In this case, I do not see the fragile sticker and DHL does not know there is no Styrofoam packing inside. So the responsibi...

As of today 15-Oct-2017, it is still showing an empty page.
It's not really down, just showing a blank page ( well as good as down as it's not giving any information).

I suppose the 3.5" HDD takes the power from external source as taking from the 44pin cable would probably stress it.

Re: PH PDF Maker beta 3

Thanks! What did they change in NVDI 5, making it impossible for you to render text? Did they remove something? I thought version 5 of NVDI was the ultimate version. :-) I think they did something to the dpi... but I am not sure. In any case, from NVDI 4 up, it is not good because it is not sending...

Re: Looking for Stoop 1.05 Release

Could be due to the cable.
I had an unstable IDE on my Firebee because of the cable. After changing it was stable.
So may be you need a new IDE cable on your falcon.

Sorry to keep you waiting.
While at it I also caught a red herring... LOL... almost always does, and that's trying to optimise it & making it smaller.
Yeah, it's actually fixed. Will try to put it up soon.

Re: Help opening a window in Pure C

Looks correct to me. It's your text alignment.
So if you write at 0,0 ( or your top left corner work space) then your last row of pixel of your text will be at row 0.
Take a look at vst_alignment(), if it makes sense to you.

Only need a converter when you have compressed or encrypted PDF.
If you open a clean uncompressed, un-encrypted PDF, you can just read the text inside.

No, I do not know how to parse a PDF file.

Re: UltraSatan Second SD Card to transfer data between PC and Atari STE

You need a hard disk driver that understands both Atari format HDD and DOS format HDD.
It does a format called TOD/DOS compatible partition that both atari & PC reads/writes to.
HDDriver and PPera Driver are such drivers.

Wow nice write up.
Could you add links to the stuff you mentioned ?
like TBLCF, Multilink Universal etc.

Why did the flashing tool crash ?
Do you know if it is frequently crashing?
Forking out $200 to fix it isn't cheap if the flashing tool does not work well.

Re: PH PDF Maker beta 3

Yes, it can be fixed. On the screen, numbers are displayed right aligned to cell boundaries. The program is making all right alignment to the right margin, not cell. That's why it is drawing it on right side in the PDF. So if you right align Text in the spreadsheet, you should get the same effect as...
