Re: Daimakaimura (Ghouls 'n Ghosts) for the Atari STE

Was this the reason why you gave up on the Final Fight (also a CPS1 game) Falcon port Anima? This rings a bell... Yes, but also having a decompression/decryption routine at start was a problem for a straight forward disassembling of Final Fight on the X68000. That's, in fact, a good thing with a pr...

Re: Daimakaimura (Ghouls 'n Ghosts) for the Atari STE

Daimakaimura (Ghouls 'n Ghosts) for the Atari STE At first I would like to say that I am not sure if the Atari STE will be able to have the power for a good port. Considering that the CPS1 system is clocked at 10 MHz (even worse: the ported game source code runs on a 12 MHz machine). Anyway, at lea...

This time from the arcade machine. So now I think that I should create a new thread about this port.

Haha! Very sneaky Anima, I had a feeling the floating sprites at the beginning were hearts.

Can't wait to see this.

Elite 2 Frontier and watch how smooth it is.

There are some ST games patched to run on the CT6x series located here:-

Duke Nukem is a good port to try also.

Re: Question about Atari TOS memory management

Is it plausible to think that we could replace the MMU with an upgraded version that addresses all 16MB? Something built in a FPGA for example?

Re: FS: Falcon (14MB/FPU/NVRAM/1GB CF) with new Box

Come on... what community? I could vouch for maybe 10-15 members of this forum that they are true Atari enthusiasts and are not going to relist it on eBay next month. I sold my Falcon on here for a reasonable price and to a developer. My point is, why not try first then eBay if there is no success....

Re: Dreaming of a Next Gen Atari - one can Dream!

Personally I'd rather see a re-implementation of the Falcon. A new motherboard based around an ITX form factor so modern cases could be used. Sockets for chips where possible. Supporting chips that can't be placed in a socket put into an FPGA. Real 68030 and FPU. Selectable CPU and BUS speeds, basic...
