https://i.postimg.cc/90xNF8xB/7477-F3-EF-FB43-4-DF4-B69-E-86-A580945406.jpg This was a great lesson for me on how power supplies work and the value of a good multi-meter. Ground is... ground. My Mega ST is up and running and life is good. These Mean Well PSU’s (so far) are stable and seemingly perf...

Re: New power supply for my Mega ST4

voltmeter is your friend Right Charles, but I don't have a working MegaST PSU to compare what its doing against the new PSU or a wiring schematic (that I could find at least) to refer to. Was hoping someone who had done this mod might chime in. Will definitely test with a multimeter before even a s...

Re: New power supply for my Mega ST4

Saw the OP's post as well as Jan Beta’s video and decided to give it a go. Jan's video glosses over a few things - like the common (black) ground wires. Theres a lot of them. Looks like Jan just randomly bundled them and ran them to two brown wires (he didn’t have any black) and ran them to the Mean...

Re: Atari haul from university

Re: Last batch of USB HxC Floppy Emulator

Jeff - Are you going to be doing a batch of the stand-alone HxC floppy drive emulators? I REALLY want a couple of them to replace floppy drives in Atari ST and Amiga computers. I don't want to have to connect them to a PC via USB. Thanks, Neil Yes this will be done soon  Any update on these J...

http://www.gunsnet.net/album/data//500/medium/IMAG0041.jpg http://www.gunsnet.net/album/data//500/medium/IMAG0042.jpg OK - I had a chance to try a demo or two that open the borders as you can see in the pics, it works. Pardon the crappy picture phone snap shots again. There are tons to choose from ...

Re: Atari ST in COLOR (low/med res) on a VGA monitor

I'd only be interested if it handles demos that open the borders etc. Can get rid of my two spare Phillips monitors then :) Can someone direct me to a demo that opens the borders so I can test it for you? The medium res is not great, but it is good enough for those few special programs that only ru...

Re: Atari ST in COLOR (low/med res) on a VGA monitor

ppera - the first two images were taken using a HP w2408 24 inch LCD. The last pic is from a Viewsonic A90f 19 inch CRT (note the "scan lines" of the CRT). Low res is very clear and I will mostly be using my ST in low resolution for games and the like. Medium resolution quality is not as g...

Atari ST in COLOR (low/med res) on a VGA monitor

I wanted to pass on how I get low and medium resolutions using a Best Electronics Multi-Sync cable (P/N CB102582-6) and a device made by Ambery! It is Plug and Play! Simply plug the Multi-Sync cable into the back of your ST, plug that cable into the Ambery 15kHz RGB to VGA Scaler/Converter. Plug the...
