Re: Beginning of very long journey

I truly don't understand the use of a different DSP. This will immediately make it NOT compatible with Falcon and there will be hardly any software for it.

Re: NetUSBee USB drivers download

How about some sort of adaptive polling interval? Let's say if the mouse is static polling interval is set to something large, when it's on the move it gets smaller. For other, less real-time, peripherals longer delay wouldn't be such an issue perhaps?

I'm not sure I read you correctly. Are you asking if my demo has hatari compatibility mode?

We've just released a new version (v1.3) which fixes some cosmetic details that bothered me :)

Not sure what you mean. The only way to slow down transfere rate is to eat the CPU time. Not sure what the USB driver is doing but I'd guess it hooks itself up to VBL or 200Hz timer to periodically poll USB hardware.

Re: uip-tool

Surely old version wasn't that slow? ;) Also, bear in mind that if you're using USB drivers then that's at least 30% penality on uiptool performance. Not sure what's going on in the USB driver but even if you're not touching your mouse it slows the system quite badly. It would be great if that could...

Both. Mainly BIOS but due to performance reasons Cconws is redirected at GEMDOS level.

Re: Falcon DSP pinout

Hatari's DSP emulation in general is in quite poor state for my needs. My last demo doesn't work for several reasons (https://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=78884): * 030 emulation timings are off * SDMA emulation is sketchy (handshake mode seems to only work with Norig mp2 player?) * No DSP timer emu...

Re: uip-tool

czietz: I don't really understand why you'd like to convert it to gas as installing vasm takes no time at all. But if you feel strongly about that then I'd rather not loose a contributor over that.

Let's move it out of this thread.

Re: Falcon DSP pinout

Maybe I'll just explain what I was looking to achieve: regular 56001 has a async serial interface (SCI) which woudn't be connected in Falcon if only regular 56001 was used. I was hoping to run that serial port with a pair of wires another unused async serial port in MFP. This would help me with debu...

Re: Falcon DSP pinout

There is no Motorola datasheet AFAIK. One of the options to cross-reference my attachement is Falcon schematic, for example. I tried that. Your document makes sense but I was hoping it wasn't correct :) Falcon schematic doesn't reference VCC and GDN pins as far as I can see so cross-referencing is ...

Re: Falcon DSP pinout

Interesting, thank you very much.

I wonder if there's official Motorola doc to confirm this? I find it hard to believe that's no mention of a cut down 56001 anywhere. By cut down verison I mean the removal of the serial port pins (RXD, TXD) in port C.

Nope. Sorry, I forgot to mention. There's discrepancy in that document which I discovered earlier: page 55 lists pins for 132 pin package which is not correct.

Falcon DSP pinout

Hi there I've tried to find a pinout for Falcon DSP but it seems quite a challenge. You'd think that Motorola manual would do it but if you look closely you'll notice that 56001 in there has 132 pins while the one if Falcon has only 80! Internet knows nothing about the 80 pin version, and other then...
