German Section

We have a Chat Forum (Fr) and Chat Forum (Eng), but I was wondering if it was a feasible idea to create a Chat Forum (Ger), for our Germanic speaking friends? The reasoning behind it, is that More Atari's were sold and used in Germany and Austria than anywhere else (I believe). I know we have quite ...

Re: New 2011 Commodore Amiga range!

Sorry to be controversial on this... I haven't owned a Commodore machine since my first home computer, which was a Vic20. This thing looks great to me. If only the Atari guys, that own the brand name at the moment, had thought of this for the Atari platform. It would be brilliant. Admittedly, it's a...

Re: Create new and fresh original game disks

Rather than all this debate, wouldn't it be better that someone actually bought this device, tried it out and reported back to the forum about how good/bad it was? It would certainly save all these back and forth comments about 'mine is better than yours'. If the guys involved in this hardware were ...

Re: FA.ST Third Coast Technology Ltd Hard Drive...

Sounds to me like it could be the drive is a bit sticky. With the old 5 inch drives you could manually spin the drive a little to unstick it. But with the 3.5inch drives you cannot. What I've found in the past is that removing the drive and dropping it flat from about 1 inch high onto a flat surface...

Re: help with setting up hard drive with ICD LINK 2 please

I've had drives like that myself where they don't have an option to provide TERM power from the drive back to the host. Only solution I've ever found was to use a Seagate ST series drive (or similar) after the problem drive in the chain. It will power the Link, which will in turn, pick up the proble...

Re: help with setting up hard drive with ICD LINK 2 please

Sound like the Link is not receiving the 5v TERM power it needs from the drive. I'd try all combinations on Terminal CNH10.

Re: STNICCC 1990 DVD available as torrent download

At the moment, all the trackers listed are rejecting the torrent. Peer discovery is finding other leechers, but no seeder. uTorrent has it's own built in tracker. It just needs to be enabled in the settings. If Richard is willing to publish his IP address here, he could track and seed this torrent h...

Re: Recent Disappearance of Atari-Forum...

I read the downtime blog. Thanks for all your hard work Dal. I know what a tedious experience stuff like this can be. Asking questions, getting no answers. Definitely not a good thing when it comes about. Good work getting the forum back online, albeit a slightly earlier version on the DB.

Great pics indeed. I'm supposed to be moving to Aus within the next 2 years. Already told the other half that I'll be biking it across the continent. Bush, forest, desert, plains, mountains, sea and sand. She's not very happy about it obviously, but you cannot beat it.

Chrome must be better than Firefox. Maybe I should try it out :D

The wiki page has definitely been hacked though. Both links on the page point to the malware site and I certainly can't imagine Mug, Silver or Ali doing it.

Don't click that link! I did and Avast antivirus popped up saying about malware being blocked. If you haven't got anything to stop it, something nasty may get on your computer.

Re: Atari Forum not accessible on Virgin Media?

If you guys can access your router through your browser i.e. going to http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.1.1 ,you can change the DNS servers your computers use to look up the atari forum address. I use one dns server from opendns.com and another from my isp. The opendns.com dns server addresses ar...
