ST Book Software

Hi, i am ( update: was ) looking for the Software (Calendar and Appointments) for the Atari ST Book. I have the manuals but the HDD of the ST Book was defective (no spin at all). handbooks.jpg I used a WD IDE drive (80GB , slightly oversized) and put one 500M partition on it using HD driver on my Fa...

Falcon Jumper wire CPU <-> U67

Hi, i'm working on a Falcon repair, and it has a wire from U67, Pin 19 (marked "E" in schematics) to pin 7 of the CPU (marked "AVEC" in schematics). Pin 19 was bent out of the socket, the empty socket is connected with a second jumper wire to pin 15 (marked "QC" in sche...

Re: Resolution boosting thoughts

Edin, the album you linked is actually not my Falcon, but one i set up for an Atarian in the USA. But my own Falcon has the same setup. The gfx card is a SuperVidel, which has a DVI-I output, carrying both, digital and analog signal. It also has 128MB Video RAM for extraordinary resolutions. The lar...

Cubase 3.1 MIDI on 060?

Hi

Does cubase 3.1 MiDi run on ct60? The software pack only contains cubase Audio 2.06 patch for 060.

I did a quick search, but did not find an answer.

With kind regards,

Hi,

i also got my MicroCosmos these days. Its really tiny, now i wonder - is it compatible with a RaspberryPi zero?

How do you folks mount it into your Atari? Or do you use it external?

Re: Installing CT60e without Sdram

Well, to be exact, with older ABE/SDR you have been able to boot in 060 mode without SDRAM by holding (iirc) both shift keys at boot. In that case, CT-TOS was not copied to SDRAM. I think that was with the V5 versions. Older ct60conf.cpx had the option to put TOS in SDRAM or not . With the recent ve...

Re: CT60 TOS source reloaded

Oh, yes, a 1.03c with just enough CTPCI that the IDE works would be great.
I just wanted to make sure all components still work before you start to code.

Re: CT60 TOS source reloaded

After some trouble i found out that Boot 1.04 and 2.01 (downloaded from github) need TOS4.04 in ROM. I had EmuTOS in there which works great with boot 1.03c. 1.03c contains full TOS4, but 1.04 and 2.01 seem to copy at least som parts from ROM at boot time. With EmuTOS in the TOS-ROM socket, the stan...

Re: CT60 TOS source reloaded

Ok, my CTPCI is a CTIDE now. PCI connector pins removed so it will fit on top of the Ethernat somehow. If it works as desired, i can remove the upper pins, too, and the case top should fit again. The USB connector is still touching the bottomside PCI bridge chip of the CTPCI. I'll connect the USB wi...

Re: CT60 TOS source reloaded

For such tests, and for developing stuff for this platform, ct60 emulation in Hatari would be a cool feature. But as i said, i'm not afraid to flash your builds. In the meantime i can try to fit the CTPCI inside my Falcon. its going to be a very tight fit, i'll have to remove the top side ct-bus pin...

Re: CT60 TOS source reloaded

I'd like to have an 1.04 without PCI support/drivers but with CTPCI IDE support. Since SV is my GFX solution of choice, but the 2x faster IDE would be awesome. Would that even be possible? Does the CTPCI work along with SV nicely? Wow. I think it would be possible with not so much effort -- CTPCI I...

Re: Network & USB on CTPCI is near :-)

Ektus showed his Falcon 060 here at Fujiama Party, with USB card mouse working, and Network (Realtek PCI) working under MiNT. It had a download speed of around 400kByte, pretty impressive. With a daily build of Netsurf, freshly downloaded today, he was able to post on Atari-Home.de. I will remind hi...

Re: Vampire 2 type hardwar for ST and why I want it.

On the Apollo Core Forum Gunnar von Boehn posted:

AMIGA OS 3.1 / 3.5 / 3.9 runs fine.
MAC OS 7.x and 8.1 runs fine.
Now it would be nice to run ATARI TOS.

Anyone experienced in running ATARI TOS on AMIGA, who likes to show us how?

Re: CT60e is coming :)

The Apollo Pheonix Silver7 core is (AFAIK) the 040 ISA not 060, no FPU (yet), partial MMU and it is closed source (i.e. it's not coming to anything other than a Vampire card in the near future) Its similar to 060 architecture, as superscalar but (unlike 060) with the full 040 instruction set. Since it's so hard to get a good 060 these days, what about replacing real 060 with FPGA and the Apollo Core?
Performance should be even higher.

Re: SV FW rev 10 and new Svethlana driver

Hi there,

after patjomki's post i also tried once more my SVEthLanA. Again, i cannot get it to work at all.
I susupect that i can install driver correctly, and able to setup MiNTNet too, since my EtherNat works.

Therefore either my SVeTHLanA or SuperVidel has a fault. :-(

Re: EtherNAT and USB driver

Hi Dal, i hope you tried again in the meantime! I recently got a working EtherNat and set up two Falcons with ct6x+SuperVidel+EtherNat. Kernel and USB drivers need to be from the same build (read: same built day) and you have to place a file "ethernat.inf" into c:/mint/1-19-cur folder, con...

I now had time to test them, they work nice for plain TOS, but i didn't get them working

Still nice to have :-)
