Re: Scooter-PCB to Gerber?

There is either a plotter or printer driver PRG included. But be aware: ScooterPCB (Atari) macro's drill holes are probably NOT correct (confirmed by Mr.Kahlert). Second: ScooterPCB (Atari) can only plot RS-274-D. This is obsolete and almost no PCB manufacturer accepts it! Use the Windows version of...

In general: yes, all ST chipsets (260,520,1040,MegaST, STacey) are interchangeable. IIRC there do exist 80pin SMD MMU and/or Glue. But these are soldered to the PCB.
But better do not mix IMP and non-IMP manufactured ASICs.

Re: Atari TT boots to desktop but black screen with diagnostic cartridge plugged in

If you've got a 2MB ST-RAM card added then remove it and try again with the diag cart. Your TT might have the cartridge port fuse burned. If this is the case when you plug the cartridge it pulls all lines to LOW and would probably give you the black screen you see. Anyway: I've seen the inductor nex...

Re: TT Fast ram compatibility?

But you can enable or disable nibble/burst mode with a jumper. In fact nibble/burst mode doesn't even work with my stock 4x1mb dimms. That's true. Is your card a 4MB card that is capable of taking four 4MB SIMMs (CA401058) or is it a 4MB-only card (CA400312)? You can upgrade a CA400312 board to 16M...

Grab the Service Manual, read the chapter "Troubleshooting a dead unit" and then check /HALT, /RESET and /BERR.

I'm looking for a Sprite Editor supporting Falcon's 256 colour mode. Supporting 16x16 pixel, better 32x32 pixel. Is it available somewhere?

Bad luck... this narrows it down to the SIMM mod.
Don't forget to either deactivate the onboard DRAM or remove it.

I used a GAL instead of 74xx and it worked without problems in a 1040STFM with 2.06.

Did you put everything there, including sources, or only the temporary files? Everything except compiler-sources. 9-10 MB IIRC Copying done with Kobold in < 1min. And what ramdisk was that? http://archive.3rz.org/MAUS-OEPT/FR/st/TRUEDI22.LZH Set it to 16MB, Mxalloc PrgFlags were already set to AltR...

STing Driver coding

Folks,
I got a question regarding on how-to program a driver for STing.
I think (!) that the driver which accesses the hardware is this STX file. Right or wrong?
Is there a How-To with demo code that driver?

Thanx, Arne

We've got a winner!
So the problem on my TT was its drained battery i.e. the .C file was always newer than the compiled/linked .TTP.

Thanks Thorsten!
