Re: New FTP client available

Anyway: As Roger made clear, PFTP was developed with TOS, not MiNT, in mind. Yes, thats clear. But it might also be an good opportunity to check whether the gluestik program of mint of mint works as expected. The missing output seems indeed have to do with buffering, and/or the way toswin2 works. p...

Re: New FTP client available

Just tried it on Aranym+Mint+GlueStik, without success :( Both programs just hang, i don't even get the starting message. Is that supposed to work? Never used GlueStik so far. Network access otherwise works, using mintnet drivers. I also noticed that the Run/Malloc from fastram flags are not set fo...

Re: New FTP client available

Thank you, Roger! We Lightning VME developers use PFTP to benchmark the speed of the STinG network driver simply because it is the fastest FTP program. And I should mention that Christian pointed out a problem with a previous version when connecting to certain servers (which is now fixed) and encou...

New FTP client available

I've released a TOS-only FTP client for STiK/STinG that I wrote a while back. The source is available at: https://github.com/anodynesoftware/pftp The binaries are available at: https://github.com/anodynesoftware/pftp/releases Its main claim to fame is that it's faster than most other TOS-only FTP cl...

Re: Anodyne cdaudio mp3

CDaudio only writes files in the AVR, WAV and AIF formats. If you created MP3s on an Atari, you must have used another program to record them or (more likely) to convert from the recorded AIF/AVR/WAV to MP3. Maybe Aniplayer (I know it can convert from MP3s, but I don't know if it can convert to MP3s).

Re: Diamond Back source code

This is great news! I just found out about an updated/big-fixed Diamond Back now being open source here and was overjoyed about that (I bought the commercial version several years ago), but I'm no programmer and don't know the first thing about compiling. Will the binaries be available from that sa...

Hi Jookie!
How do I order both types of keyboard cable adapter with one CosmosEx? I'd like to be able to connect it to either an ST or a TT.

The atari-users.net domain seems to have expired. At least, that's what it says when I try to connect to the "Unofficial GFA-Basic Home". So does someone have an alternative URL?

There were several serious bugs in Diamond Edge v2.04 (the source version I received). To my knowledge, they are all now fixed, and have been for a long while. If you read the CHANGES.TXT file (or the comments at the start of each module), you should see them referenced. I don't see CHANGES.TXT eit...

Re: Data corruption with CosmosEx SD card (Falcon/SCSI)

How much ST-RAM does your TT have? The TT has 4 MB ST RAM, and 16 MB TT RAM. The TT RAM shouldn't influence this (even in Falcon), because if I remember correctly, DMA transfers can't be done to TT RAM, so only ST RAM is used for DMA transfers and thus hard disk transfers. Jookie The TT can do DMA ...

Here is the full benchmark completed. I have updated my test setup to Emutos 0.9.7 in order to compare the last version, just in case. Emutos doesn't seem to like NVDI as it crashed with a "Panic Bus Error" I just installed NVDI 5 on my test Aranym setup with the very latest EmuTOS (curre...

Re: EmuTOS do not run with a PAK68/2 Speeder ...

... doing a MOVEC with an invalid control register field should cause an illegal instruction exception. MOVEC to ITT0/ITT1/DTT0/DTT1 have control register fields 004/005/006/007 which are illegal on the 68020. So it should trigger an exception, and therefore branch to mmu_done. Hi Roger, I assume t...

Re: EmuTOS do not run with a PAK68/2 Speeder ...

Hi Rodolphe,
Thanks for the EmuTOS comments! If the problem is with the PMOVEs, then I might just rearrange startup.S to avoid the problem. Since there isn't any Atari-manufactured system with a 68020, we might as well make EmuTOS compatible with some de facto standard hardware.

Answering Markus: I'm not aware that anyone has tested a 68020 or the PAK with EmuTOS. Answering Rodolphe: If there's a problem due to coprocessor access, then the problem is caused by the PMOVEs before the MOVECs. If someone needs a customised version, let me know. I would like to get EmuTOS workin...

I think the code that has that issue is there : not_68030: move.l #mmu_done,0x10 // if a MOVEC causes an exception, we're done moveq #0,d0 MOVEC_D0_ITT0 // first we initialise the TTRs (ACRs on a 68ec040) MOVEC_D0_ITT1 MOVEC_D0_DTT0 MOVEC_D0_DTT1 MOVEC_D0_TC // disable translation on 68040-60 (will...

The EmuTOS 256kB ROM has the same format as TOS, i.e. the second long is the address to jump to on a reset. Or am I answering the wrong question?

Did you try running emutos.prg from the desktop instead of from ROM? That would help narrow down where the problem is.
